How was your week???

How was everyone's week??? Mine was incredibly hectic, Lander is open and we're still working the rust out of some of our employee's that got laid off for the summer, trying to get everyone on the same page while serving 1000 meals a day. I hate having to put in FULL work days!!! I've got a catering tonight-yuck and a catering on Sunday-yuck so my weekend is shot pretty much The great news is my Mommy came to town on Monday and we all went out to eat. She stopped on her way from CT to FLA. She'll be back next weekend for a longer visit. Gotta love the Mom's. And just to pile more work on top of more work---I have 25 auctions listed on Ebay that end this Sunday...meaning about 15 packages to go out Monday AM in the mail On the plus side---I have been running alot. Wed night I did 6 miles non-stop!! It really took alot out of me, I had to take Thursday as a day of rest instead of Friday. We've got the 5K race in September coming up--where I plan on putting Kathy to shame---and just because I am nuts, I signed up for a Half-Marathon...13.2 miles on October 29th. The Spinx Runfest. I got the training schedule from the links Kathy posted previously---those are good training schedules. I was able to talk with the Cross Country coach at Lander about training and the 1/2 Marathon; he said that guy knows what he is talking about and those are good schedules. Its also nice to know the coach for other questions; did you know most 10K or more runners (men) buy those little round band-aids for their nipples!! Your shirt rubs against them and makes them almost raw--OUCH---so now I have nipples band-aids or nipple-aids.........let the jokes on THAT begin I hope your week has been a positive one. People made it thru surgery this week well, people have plastics dates, we are a lucky bunch to have this great new life-aren't we?

The miracle isn't that I finished. The miracle is that I had the courage to start.....John Bingham aka The Penguin

STUDLY!!! It seems like forever since I got to pick on you!!! I'm glad you're doing well!! My world is crazy crazy crazy.. I've got the new company pretty much up and running... Hired my first employee for the SC office... and starting this Wednesday... we're going to begin hiring about 200 guys for the onsite work.......... I do NOT see a long extended vacation in my future that's for sure! I'm down 91.5 pounds... ... it's slow going for me at this point.. but as long as I'm not gaining that's a GOOD THING!  I miss picking on you... I hope some of the other ladies will pick up where I've slacked off...

Mine is busy also. Between getting myself and the kids back to school, then getting DH used to his new responsibilites of a first grade parent who has to do homework when Mom is at school, I've been a little frazzled.    Weight is still slowly creeping off, I'm still swimming.  I want to be a runner like Kathy and you, just can't take the first steps.    I had a great PS appointment Wednesday to see about Dr H fixing the mistakes from my first TT, so keep your fingers crossed for me and insurance.    My baby turns six tomorrow.  I can't believe it Happy Friday Everyone Mary

You know Mary-my first jog was about .2 miles long---you just have to start. There is a guy named John Bingham nicknamed "The Penguin". He writes for Runners World and has a website and books---but they are all about the psyche of jogging. His take is ---its not about how fast or keeping up with others or finishing in X amount of time---its just about enjoying the run. "Penguins" are those runners that run the race but finish last or in the last bit. As he says---if you have ever done a 5K race where the police car is behind you following you because you are the last runner, and they keep asking you "Are you sure you don't want a ride?"...you are a true Penguin--be proud. I'm a penguin.

Ha!!  I guess that means my avatar is PERFECT. Except for the fact that I just might take that ride if they offered...

OKAY! OKAY!  You are going to whup me at running!!! I have not had a chance to really train because of all the crap that has been happening at my house and work.  HRMPF!!! Why in the world would you need nipple aids?  I though you already wore a one of these... http://xo.typepad.com/blog/2007/07/the-man-bra.html Wouldn't that be enough?

Well I find it very comforting that a man must run a 10k race to even begin to sympathize with the breast feeding mothers of the world and their nipples!!!! I must admit that I dont run because I dont want to knock myself unconscious... but I do walk fast... SUPER FAST!!! like lightning...haha... or something kinda like that!!!

Anyways, my week has been AMAZING!!! it has been this beautiful melting pot of hysterics, chaos, stress and illness... BUT.... not boring!!! I think I am almost over this head cold... and on my way to being able to sleep at night. Last night I fell asleep with tissue in one had and Vicks in the other....talk about SSSSEEEXXXXXXEEEEEE Cyrus started 3rd grade GATE... Nataija is still in daycare... but potty trained on MOST days!!! GOD IS GOOD and I HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE!!! WOOO HOOO!!!!!

My week has been great!  The kids started school.....I have free time during the day......I have free time during the day.....did I mention that I have free time during the day???  I have to work this weekend. Mike is going to be out of town tonight and I am catching up with a good friend.   I went to the gym Wed. and Thurs.  not today because I spent 4 hours working at the school! I think that is about it....   Have a great weekend!
