Plastics date!
I went for my PS consult today and they gave me a list of October dates that they have open, so I am going to pick October 25 to have it done since it's close to the weekend and Sonny can stay home with me for 4 days. What I am having done is not going to be covered by my insurance, so I will be paying around $12,500.00 out of pocket. I am having the total lower body lift done and my breast lifted. This takes care of the sagging skin on my legs and will also raise and firm my butt. He also told me that since my belly button is so low that he will be able to really pull the skin tight and cut more off so I will have an awsome flat tummy and that my new belly button will be about 4 inches higher than it is now.He seems to think I will get great results with this procedure verses the regular tummy tuck. They said they can file my insurance but they have never had any companies pay for it unless you have chronic skin rashes with breakdown of the skin neither of which I have experienced. So I will bite the bullet and pay on my own since it's no worse than buying a cheap car, and hopefully I won't depreciate once my husband takes me home, lol. I'm nervous about it, but I was nervous about my GB too.Thank god he sends you home with a pain pump, so hopefully that will help. I'm having it done at their surgery center there, instead of having it done at the hospital, it's a whole lot cheaper this way and thats how they do most of their surgeries unless the patient request the hospital. So, this will be a long two months of waiting again. It's like dejavu , having to wait for my GB , so this brought back memories, but I do know it went by fast and this will too. I'll keep everyone posted if anything changes with the date.
Take care!

I decided to use Upstate Plastic Surgery, Dr. Lovett. They let me look through their books of pictures of patients that they had done and they were amazing. I just hope I can look as good as the ones in their books, lol. I just wi**** could be done minus all the pain, lol. That is the only thing I am not looking forward to. When they cut the abdominal muscles and pull them tighter I know it will be painful when it starts to heal up. I had some repair work done when I had my hysterectomy, where they cut through muscle and I had horrible spasms that lasted 2 weeks. I'm just praying it will be better with the pain pump. They said I had a good attitude starting out and that should help me get through it. I'm hoping that good attitude is what helped me get through my GB the way I did. Any how, I want this so bad that I am willing to endure the pain. I haven't had a flat tummy since my last child was born in 1972, so I think I deserve to have one again. I'm hoping mine will be flatter than my daughters, since she is the one that streached mine all out, lol. I will at least be the same size she is so that makes me soooooo happy.I know it won't take a lot of weight off, but I'm hoping at least to lose another 8-10 pounds like he said I should after he cuts all the extra stuff off. I will let you know how it all goes and maybe even have a show and tell get together sometime so everyone thinking about having it done can see how it looks.
Take care!

Congrats Mary. I keep telling everyone I am going to be "new and improved" after mine. I have to wait a little longer (need to do it after the first of the year), so I scheduled mine for January 11th. I am having very similar stuff done, so I will be anxious to see how you do...and maybe attend the "show and tell" if you will let me!
We have all come a looooooong way baby!
Your more than welcome to come to my show and tell, lol. Heck, I always spent the last several years trying to keep it covered up, so hopefully I won't be embarrased to show it off after the surgery. Maybe we can host a post plastics wet teeshirt and bikini contest, lmao. I wish you luck with yours.
Take care!

OK. I am offically jealous. I know that if my insurance won't cover, I won't be getting it. Also, Dr. Bour wouldn't even talk to me about plastics at my last appointment. I wonder why?? Well, I'm REALLY happy for you. It'll be here before you know it.

Your insurance might cover it depending on what you have done. He told me it will cover if you just have a small amount of skin to remove and the navel doesn't need to be moved or if a person has chronic skin breakdown which has been documented. I have way too much to be removed and my belly button has dropped way down, so unless i want my belly button between my legs, lol, I have to have the more extensive procedure done, plus I have never had any skin breakdown or rashes at all. I have no idea why he wouldn't talk to you about the plastics, he is the one that said something to me. Maybe he feels sorry for my droopy ass and thinks I need it ASAP, lol. Dr. Lovett said it will probably take somewhere around 8 + pounds off of me from the tummy and where ever else he does liposuction in the hip area. I was hoping for more but I will settle for 8 pounds, lol. I'm really nervous about this so I hope this feeling goes away after awhile. I know I want it really bad so the nerves must be from thinking about the pain involved. Hope it works out for you too.
