Well, I had a great birthday today. First thing, I finally got below 170 this morning, the scale read 169. The second happened at work this afternoon. One of the nurse managers brought in a box of her old scrubs that she doesn't wear anymore since she wears regular clothes for work. She told everyone that she was putting the box in the conference room and anyone that wanted them could have them. I got excited because I could use some scrubs now that my old ones are too big. I told her I was interested in them and she looked at me and said not to bother getting them that they wouldn't fit me. Of course the first thing that popped in my head was, I can't believe she just told me that to my face, it hurt my feelings, Then she said sweetie, these are larges and they would be way too BIG for you. OMG, someone actually said that I was too small to wear a large, I'm still in shock and I think I must have thanked her  a dozen times today. She asked me why was I thanking her so much for saying that and I told her about having WLS. She said she would have never guessed that I had been heavy and that I look awsome. Later that day she passed me and said, Mary you look great, but you don't have to thank me for what I said, it's true, your not big enough to wear a large size in scrubs, lol. I still feel like a 2x person and I guess it will be a while before I get use to not wearing bigger clothes.  To end my great day, my best friend  from WV came to visit for two weeks. I love to be around him and we have a good time together, I always look forward to seeing him and the fact he came down for my birthday made it even more special. I hope I have more days like today, they are exciting. Mary

Congratulations on your 2 wow moments.  Those are so cool.  Mary you are doing great.  I understand what you mean about seeing ourselves as a 2x when we are really a med. or large.  I probably will always see myself in a 2x.  Rachel

Mary!  You are so tiny and petite, I can;t believe you would think that a large would fit you!  hehe!! I guess we are all that way sometimes.  You were small to me to begin with, so I am surprised that you aren't in a small already.  You look like you should be! Anyway, happy late birthday, I'm glad it was a good one!!  I bet next year will be even better!

Mary-
That is great. I had some old uniforms given to me as well, I thought they would be to big..but they fit! It feels great does it not.

I had interviewed about 5 weeks ago for a job. When I went to another interview this past friday, the top was to big and falling off my shoulder.
