Pouch Challange

A few of us from the singles board and going to take on this 5 day pouch challange (starting Monday). I know a lot of us who are further out, wonder if our pouch even works anymore. Here is the link (you may need to copy and paste).

Diane, I read this briefly and was just trying to figure out what the point was to it. Does it shrink us up or it confirms that we have not stretched out pouch? I am lost but very interested... Can you help me? Patti

My take on it.....
1. It reassures that your pouch is still "working".
So many times, I feel like I could eat so much and wonder just how much my pouch may have stretched.

2. To break the cycle of eating carbs and too many "soft calorie" foods (the foods that are easy to go down...slide right through your pouch, then you can eat a lot of it).

3. It's just kind of a simplified back to basics type of plateau buster plan.

I'm thinking it's only 5 days, and I have a lot of protein powders that need to be used And the eating plan that I have been on (which hasn't varied too much from day 1), isn't working anymore.

Plus, I'm going on my cruise in 2 weeks, so every little bit helps!!!!

I will give it a shot.... I need to break the carb cycle that I have fallen back into and the liquid is only for 2 days. You are starting Monday... I will start with you. I have a lot of the Optifast shakes left... I think I will use them... they have sugar in them but not really that much if I recall correctly and I can handle the amount they do have. My 1 yr appt is in 2 weeks and I want to drop some more before I face Dr B.  Pam

Cool!!

I don't think you will have a problem facing Dr. B!!

I am starting on Monday. I have an appointment with my trainer on Monday at 7:30, so I won't be tempted to eat something. IN fact, maybe I'll make another appointment on Tuesday!!
