2 DAYS UNTIL SURGERY!!

Hard to believe that 48 hours from this minute, I will be in surgery!  I am trying to tie up any loose ends at work today and tomorrow, especially today since I will be on a clear, liquid diet tomorrow. Everyone keeps asking me if I am nervous...and I am not...should I be?  I dunno. I am more anxious to find out who gets eliminated on Big Brother than I am about the surgery! There are a lot of thoughts going through my mind as the date draws closer. I have never been put to sleep before, just weird to think about, thats all.  I dont know if my parents will be there the day of surgery, which does make me sad, no matter how unslapped they've become lately.  Today is my last day of Optifast...I have actually enjoyed being on it, except for the starving part LOL! I have liked the taste of all of them and like the taste of the protein drinks I will be on after surgery. I am sick like that, I know.  But I can also suck down a Goody powder with no water....makes my mouth water thinking about it! Heyyy I am NOT a freak! Ok, well, I wont ever admit it in public!

 

Tonights my final "pre op" meeting, next monday, I'll be on the other side in the 'post op' classes. Tomorrow night is my last 'tuesday night' meeting to attend, then its surgery day. Any final words of wisdom is greatly appreciated! ~Melissa

Good luck, I was not nervous either and I have OCD. I think it was because I was a peace with my decision and felt like I was doing what I had to do! You will be great and we will save a seat at post op for you!!!! Congats! Patti

Don't worry about not being nervous.  I wasn't nervous at all.  I had total confidence in Dr. Bour.  is great and knows what he is doing.  I think he could do that surgery in his sleep.  Hang on, don't get too discouraged as you progress to "regular food," and enjoy the ride of your life.  Rachel

Just 2 more days!!!!!!  This is so exciting.  Dr. Bour is great and will take great care of you!!!  Can't wait to see ya after when your skinny minny!!!!!

WHOOOOHOOOO!!!! Can't wait til you are on the loser's bench! I was not nervous either.... I had surrounded myself with great friends and heard how great Dr B was. I was sooooooo ready!!! You will do wonderful!! Pam
