My Class Reunion

Hey Everyone !!

Sorry for being MIA... work is crazy! I do stop in every now and then and read the board.. but the minute I want to respond to something.. someone walks into my office. So here's my news: I just got the e-mail this morning that my highschool reunion will be September 29th at the Bramber Country Club in Greenland NH ... I AM SO EXCITED I CAN'T SEE STRAIGHT! My parents have never met John... John and I lived in GA when we eloped.. and then moved to SC. (( We've only been married 2 years! )) John's never been up to New England.. so I'm excited to show him around my home state.. and the fact that my father is going to meet my husband makes my eyes tear up! I would have never even thought about going to this reunion if I were still weighing 299 pounds. I'm so glad I have the confiedence now to go..and feel comfortable!! I would love to drop the last 12 pounds that is hanging on to my goal of 100 before my 1 year anniversary.. so I'm going to work on that!!! Kathy... as I get closer to the date.. I'm going to drag you if I have to .. to go shopping with me to help me find something to wear... and of course.. I will need SHOE'S and a new PURSE.... I hope you accept your assignment!!!

I have NO problem with that! I LOVE spending other people's money!! LOL! But you should Dawn in there too. We work as a team.

My reunion is in October, and I considered going, but then I noticed that the reunion committee was made up of all the snooty rich-bich cheerleaders. UGH. I just can't do it. Part of the joy of graduation was the knowledge that I'd never have to see DeeDee, Lu Anne, or Mimi EVER AGAIN!

But I'm really glad you're excited about yours! And that it gives your parents the opportunity to meet John. Wonderful!

Hot Nana!! Don't think like that... Think of it this way.. maybe DeeDee and LuAnne and Mimi each had about 7 kids with different baby daddies..... gained tons of weight.. chain smoke.. live in a run down shack at the edge of town and have been married and divorced 8 times... Besides.. you look AMAZING .. you should show off your new attitude!!! And if hubby doesn't wanna go with you.. we can dress up Studly and make him your date for the night...

Dawn, you should go to your reunion. I went to my 30th just with the hopes of seeing one FAT cheerleader, and I did, lol. just one , but it was enough to make me happy. And to make it even more enjoyable, a lot of the "MOST LIKELY TO SUCCEED, BEST DRESSED, MOST POPULAR, CUTEST COUPLE, etc. were not any of the above mentioned things, lol. Funny how all that changed over the years. The only one that really amazed me was the "Prom Queen" she looked like she stepped out of the year book, but no telling how much plastics she had to look that good. It was also fun to see all the skinny minnies not so skinny anymore. The studly football players who probably hadn't seen their feet due to their BIG BEER BELLIES, lol. So it is well worth it to go.
