Hot sweats anyone?
I am just the opposite, I freeze all the time. Did they remove your ovaries when they did the hysterectomy? If not, you will go through menopause just as though you still have your urterus. I had a hysterectomy and they left my one ovary that I had and I am on hormones for the hot flashes, I have tried to give up the hormones but the hot flashes came right back, Usually they will put you on hormones if you have a total hysterectomy done, otherwise you go through surgical menopause.
Hope you get some relief somehow, lol.
Hugs,
Mary

I had a hysterectomy in 2001 and I've had hot sweats ever since... I'm not on any hormone replacement not sure I'm supposed to be... I don't have any overaies or anything left since my insides was just mush... I was eatten up with Edmentosis (sp?) and I tell you I felt like a million bucks after that surgery.. but now I'm having problems, I don't know if it's the weight loss but well things aren't right with me.... that's for another topic *lol*
but to answer your question... YESSSSSSSSS I have them and they're awful ... I'm lil over a year out and I swear it's like somedays I'm freezing and sweating at the same time...

Like Mary said, if they left your ovaries you'll still experience menopause. You may want to let you gyn know you're having the hot flashes.
Before surgery, I was a sweat factory (lovely image, yeah?) ... after surgery, I am hardly ever too hot. I spent the winter months with a ceramic heater aimed directly at me, in every room in the house. And this summer, I get too cool in the air conditioning and have to step outside in the heat to get comfortable.
Howevah .... in the last few weeks, I've been waking up once or twice a night ... "glowing". (I still have my ovaries, after my hysterectomy last December.) At this point I don't know whether it's just summertime and the comforter gets too hot in the middle of the night, or it's the start of THE CHANGE (cue the violins). I guess time will tell.
If you keep "flashing", ask your gyn about it.
