Thanks Dawn for suggesting that Fage Yogert.  It was good.  I put  splenda and some simply fruit.  YUMMMMMMMM!!!  Great for 17 g. of protein.  The guy at our local publix said they can't keep it on the shelf.  They are trying to get the vendor to leave more when he comes.  Do you remember how much it is at Whole foods.  It is 1.79 at Ingles.  less than protein bars.  Thanks again..... Rachel

Its about the same at Whole Foods.  I saw it there on Saturday.  I didn't buy it because I was comparing it to the price of other yogurts!  It didn't even occur to me that I should  be comparing it to the price of protien bars or RTD shakes!!!  Smart thinking Rachel!  Now I can buy it without guilt. I also saw another brand there of the same kind of yogurt that was vanilla flavored.  It was about 10 cents more.

Mary, You may have to ask for it.  It is not with the yogert.  Our Publix had it on the isle with the protein bars.  They called it the vendor isle (sp?)  Don't forget to add splenda and all fruit spread.  Rachel

Glad to help you justify!!  Also think that you are getting Calcium.  Also, I couldn't believe that it only had 4g of fat (in the 2%) because it is sooooo creamy.  I bought 2 of the skim but I believe the (2%) is the yummiest.  Oh, don't forget to remove the paper on top.  It is the same color as the yogert and stupid me didn't listen.  I started to stir and had to  dig the paper out.  Oh Yeah!  Kathy, I forgot.  Guess what I have.....An Abscessed Tooth!!!!!!  OUCH!!!  This is like the 4th one that i have had.  I thought of you.  I have been living off pain meds.  I go tomorrow at 10 for the dentist to look at it.  I am not sure if it hurts more because i know how much money I'm about to drop for the root canal.

I need some of that.  I have been taking some left over pain medicine from surgery.  (only half of one tablet) but as soon as it wears off....I'm in pain.  I hope they give me some Lortab tomorrow!!  But, I'm on so many controlled substances right now that they police might be out here to check me out. So glad you found it, and like it as much as I do, Rachel.   I was a bit put off by the price at first, too ... when you compare it with other yogurt, it's high.  But as you pointed out, compared to a protein bar, it's cheaper.  And when you consider it's usually a meal in itself for me, with some fruit added ... $1.79 for a meal is fantastic. I also use it in place of sour cream now ... with a quesadilla or on top of black beans.  Yum.

It's actually $1.69 at Whole Foods - 10 cents cheaper than Publix...go figure.  It is so good.  My problem is that I eat it for my "snacks" morning and afternoon and sometimes night before bed.  And then I end up eating $6 worth of yogurt in a day but I got almost 60 g of protein in just  snacks.  OUCH!!!  I bought 10 containers of it on Monday and I have 3 left in the fridge now.  Of course, it didn't help that 2 of them fell out of the fridge and busted open.  I wanted to lick it off the floor.  That was $1.69 all over my floor.  However, my doggie beat me to it.    Not gonna argue with an 80lb lab that has been  on a diet.  He is hungry...bless his heart....I know how he feels.
