Yep.  I just checked online and there is going to be a 5k race on October 20, 2007 for the Susan G. Komen foundation here at Daniel Island. Here is the site:  http://www.komenlowcountry.org/ We should get a team together and start practicing now.  Who's in?   Deb - I know you're in with me, right!!!

If I am living there by then I will def sign up for this... although I am more of a FAST Walker then I runner, and not really that "fast" either... lol.  do we get breaks?   I know how proud Deb is of her Medal, and saw it first hand, and think she should be!!  I remember a million years ago walking 20 miles "walk for hunger" (how ironic, huh?) and finishing.. so, I suppose I should and would love to do this... wow, I sure hope I am there by then!!    Sent you a PM... Susan! :) J.

The name of our team is Soul Sistas so if you are interested in joining the team or making a donation just go to the site and look for our team name. Thanks!!! Susan Jill - I really hope you are here by then!!!!  It's really not hard - only 3.1 miles and you don't have to run.  Walking is fine.

Do I get another medal? Heck yea,  I'm in, my soul sista . With the great group of people we have, I know we can get a good group together, and raise some money for a great cause. I'm not much of a runner either Jill, but like the turtle, I will eventually finnish.  I am already excited about finnishing it. (I cried the last 1/4 mile of the Cooper River Bridge Run because I was so proud and excited all at the same time that I was able to do it.  I was only a month out of surgery and still a bit short winded.  I should be just fine with this one). COME ON YALL, LETS BACK THIS GREAT CAUSE.
