laugh, cry, or run

This is why I am so glad I made up my mind to have surgery.....  Last night at the grocery store, I was in line behind a very attractive lady with a newborn baby and approximately a 4 year old.  As I was standing in the CROWDED line the little boy says "when are you going to have YOUR baby?"  well of course I am NOT going to have a baby,  so I politely told the young man that I had already had my baby, and he said "why is your  tummy still BIG?"  I could tell his mother was embarressed, so I just smiled and laughed. She then said, "Im so sorry, you know kids will just say anything, how old is your baby?"  By now EVERYONE around was listening, I was sweating and feeling beet red,  but I managed to look  right into  her eyes and say  9 and 11 YEARS!  I  didnt know whether to slap the kid or the mom !!!  just kidding,  but seriously I cannot wait until the FAT comments are gone!!   I LOVE ALL OF YOU, MY FRIENDS hugs-

Did you get to record the show on tv?  I am so happy for you, I think that was a great opportunity for you, and it couldn't of been for a nicer person then you!!!  Im a dog lover, well animal lover just like you!  i brought home so many strays growing up my parents wondered what i would find next, now my husband wonders the same thing.  dont you just want to stomp micheal vick? Well really i would like to see him drown, like he did the poor puppies, oh im sorry i got on that subject, i just feel so strong about things like that. love you-- 

I agree, slap the mom.  She was probably as embarrassed as you, but she should have dropped it! I had those comments made to me by adults.  When my daughters birthmother and I met at the ER when she was in labor a male nurse came around with a wheelchair and looked at us both with this confused look on his face.  Then he finally says "Which one of you is having the baby?"  I wanted to throttle him. Then, a few weeks later, I was getting measured for a bridesmaid dress and my cell phone rang.  I explained to the alteration lady that this was the first time I ahd left my hubby alone home with the baby and he was wondering when I would be back.  She asked how old the baby was and I told her and she says "Oh, well you still have ALOT of baby weight to lose.  Your dress may change sizes by the wedding day."  When I said, she's adopted, I've never been pregnant.  She acted like she had said nothing out of the ordinary.

Those people were soooo lucky I was completely sleep deprived at the time and had no energy to fight!

im with you, i cant wait to have those comments stopped.  I saw your pictures before and after-- you looked great in both,  but i know you feel better kow, but you are still just as beautiful.  You adopted your daughter?  That is a true blessing, she is a lucky little girl to have loving parents like you.  I have a special place in my heart for adoptees because my parents adopted me 38 years ago, when i was 8 months old!  I lost my mom 5 years ago to cancer and when I did I lost my best friend, Ive been lost without her, even after 5 years, it is so hard.    I saw where you are doing the cancer run also,  honey that is wonderful, when I am able I want to run and jog like I used to. From reading your blogs, I can see you are a very special and beautiful woman! love,

Slap the mom.  She should have handled that better.  Obviouslly the fruit didn't fall far from the tree.  And it must have been a nut tree at that. I have had that same thing happen to me in the past.  It will be so sweet when you never have to worry about that again.  I am sorry you came across STUPID PEOPLE.

Your right!!  How have you been? i hope everything is going well,  I always love to see the picture of you with the cowboy hat, its great.  you look good with a hat on.  i always want to wear a hat even just a baseball hat, but they always look stupid, i think i have a crooked head!! love,

It happened to me at a FAMILY gathering from one of my cousin's children.  Everyone was mortifed, but mostly me.  I left early and cried the whole way home Mary
