Okay, its Monday AGAIN.  But as you can see I am trying to have a good attitude about it. I had to work for about 5 hours on Saturday and i am still BARELY catching up.  Teagan got struck with some sort of stomach bug AGAIN.  She puked in Blockbuster.  Ugh. And she continued to puke for the rest of the evening on Saturday.  My poor baby.  Sunday she was much better and today she is healed...(I hope...) Is it wrong of me to wish I was the one with the stomach bug?  I mean COME ON!!  I am the one in the house that could use the day or two without eating...hrmpf. Actually I do feel a bit quesy right now.  But I am sure it has more to do with my chopice of breakfast.  I don't know WHAT ever made me think I could have any part of a chewy bagel.  Dumb Dumb Me.  It got stuck and now I feel blah. SOOO, I feel kind of cheated out of my weekend.  The in laws are coming on Wednesday.  See my smile---> (its fake.)  I'm trying to prepare myself.  Everyone else in the house is excited.  Maybe I can consider this a few days to myself???  I was promised I would not be forced to participate in anything I don't want to.  AND I will not be responsible for feeding the clan since I am working and not taking any days off.  We'll see how that goes. ANYHOO!  I am looking forward to walking/jogging/chatting with you guys this evening.  I am pretty excited about it actually.  I got some nervous energy to work off. I'm meeting with Seabiscuit at lunchtime today so hopefully he will leave me with some energy to spare.

Hellooooo Kathy ... I can understand wishing you were the one with the bug ... sorta.  I was sick most of the day yesterday  -- vomiting, terrible pain, and ended up in the ER for several hours -- NOT the way I wanted to spend my Sunday, let me tell you.   BUT ... this morning I am down 5 pounds.  Heeee!  I'm sure the minute my diet returns to normal, the scale will move back up, but for today the scale is my best buddy.  In fact, I'll be weighing again in the next few minutes just to celebrate some more.  I haven't seen this particular number since ... 1978!!!  Good Lord. I wish you the very best in-law visit, and hope it goes by with lightening speed for you. Sending Miss Teagan "Be Well" thoughts and wishes ... see you tonight! Love  ya.

Oh yeah, I am fine today.   I made the trip to the ER because I was certain I was dying, but by the time I sat there for four hours waiting to see someone, I was all better.  When i got home, I had some much-needed fluids and a few Saltine crackers, and slept like a baby all night.

OMG!!  Was it the same bug or something else?  Teagan was having pain too.  What did they do for you?  Are you going to be alright?

I wish i knew exactly what it was ... Jim called Melissa in a panic late yesterday afternoon ( I told her it was old habit, after so many times calling her last year when I was sick so much.)  We decided to go to the ER after I had been throwing up nothing but green (sorry TMI) for 4 or 5   hours ... every 10 minutes or so.  The pain was in my mid-section, and started around 1 AM on Sunday.  The vomiting started at 10 AM.  And continued until we arrived at the ER ... where it ended as if by magic.  We sat there until almost 8 pm, and by the time we left, the pain had gone away too.  They drew blood when I first got there, but I never saw another soul for the next 4 hours.  Then they came in and wanted me to drink contrast for a CT scan.  I told them thanks, but no thanks ...  I had been healed and I was going home.   It is now my wish to NEVER EVER have to spend time in Greenville Memorial ER again.  (Knock on wood) That place is awful. So it could have been a bug ... it also could have been my liver protesting against all the acetominophen I took on Saturday.  I dunno.  I'm better today.  Whew.

Kathy,    Bagels are not good.  Not for you and Not for me as I had some also.  No excuses, why didn't we eat protein????      I'm so impressed that you are going to see Seabiscuit.  I am going back to the pool tonight and swim laps.  I'm slowly trying to work myself up to some distance    Now????  What's for lunch.   Mary

Actually, it was a bagel egg & cheese sandwich.  So there was protien.  I had a coupon. So I cut it in half and ate half of it and wanted to save the other half for my snack at 9:30am.  needless to say, it went in the garbage. and now it is almost lunchtime and I am not hungry.  Seabiscuit is going to ask me what I ate and he is not going to understand that the bagel made me too queasy to eat my snack or lunch.  then he'll say that is why I am pooping out on his workout..blah blah blah... Oh well, what can you do?

Ewww!  That bug sounds like fun!!  NOT!!!  I'm impressed that you could only eat 1/2 the bagel.  I think I could have eaten the whole thing (small one of course).  I surprise myself how much I can eat.  I still have trouble with the empty plate syndrome.  It seems like such a waste and I don't feel full.    Bagels have never gotten stuck but then again it didn't have anything on them but Low fat cream cheese.  I have been pretty much living on watermelon, watermelon, and peaches, and did I say watermelon.  I used to HATE watermelon before surgery.  Now, I have it with every meal.  I love it!!!  I know it is pretty high in sugar but I figure peaches and watermelon (especially watermelon) are only good this time of the year.  So I'm enjoying it!! Well, I'm gonna go back to house cleaning.  I hope things go well with the in-laws.  Call me if you need a break and I will meet you at Sabroso's or somewhere else.  Talk to you later. Rachel
