Hey Esther. My doctor actually sends us home with a script for  pain medicine that is pretty large.  It is about the size of 2 tylenol put together.  I was able to take all of my pills when I came home from the hospital.  Some people crush their meds but I didn't have too.  Now I can take wellbutrin-CR (which is pretty stinking large) with a handful of other meds and have no problem.  Ask your doctor, they will advise you on what the think is the best.  Welcome to the board and remember YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!! Hi Esther, Best route to take is to ask your own surgeon, and then follow his recommendation.  Mine says pills are OK, but others prefer to use liquid meds or chewables (or crushed ,,, yuck!) at least at first.  I've never had a problem with pills though.

We're happy you found us, too!

Thank you, Dawn.  I am really anxious to move along in the process, but I have to be patient, I am only in the very beginning. Thank you again esther

Pam,    You are so right, I feel as though I've known about this for years, and it's only been a week!  This is great, and congratulations on your weight loss!! Hugs, esther

Hi Esther Be sure to ask your doc first... I was on liquids when I came home from the hospital and now till this day I do crush my meds just to make sure they dissolve but that is just my prefence... but ask your doctor since all docs are different.. good luck on your journey Stephie

I'm so happy that you found us too.  This site has helped me so much, given me great advice, made me feel not alone when sometimes I regret having the WLS (yes, I think maybe we all do regret it sometimes, but it only lasts  a minute).  But most importantly to me, it makes me laugh everyday.   Welcome to the family!!!! Mary
