This weekend was great! Friday I had my three neices spend the night, so I had 5 kids in the house. Saturday we all got up and then went running errands. Lunch @ McDonalds with 5 children... OMG!!! Then Saturday afternoon was swim lessons and packing. My sister took her family and my son to Pigeon Forge for the week, they left Sunday morning. Sunday it was just me, the hubby and my baby... and we went to Target, went to lunch and painted with water colors all afternoon.  We have chicken and horse duty at my sisters for the week so we did chores after the shopping trip! The storm that came through last night was CRAZY!!!!  and blew tree limbs all over the yard so I get to clean that up now! But I barely cooked and barely cleaned all weekend... haha... I will pay for that this weekend though!!!

Well, on Saturday we woke up early and headed out to the lake to meet up with Dave's friends. We had to be ferried to this little island that he had reserved for our Pirate day treasure hunt.  It was cheesy but the kids sure enjoyed it! First thing that happened when I got off the sailboat at the shore was I stepped ina bout a FOOT OF MUD!!!  YUCK! Anyway, I mostly sat in my chair in the nice weather drinking water and watching people play.  When it was time to eat, I asked Dave to bring me a hamburger patty with cheese when they were done and he brought me one with a bun...WAIT more like a roll.  I didn;t want it, but I made the mistake of tasting it.  YUMMY!!  But alas it was bread.  SOOOOOO, while there were at least 3 pregnant women there it was ME that was in the woods BARFING behind the tree.  Damn bread. Anyway, we had fun.  But we were the first to go home (damn bread.)  Even though it was overcast, I got a T-shirt tan/burn.  It looks funny.  no more sleeveless shirts for me until that evens out. Sunday was relaxing, did some grocery shopping, saw a movie and hung out at home.  More my kind of weekend. Kathy

I have had a good weekend!  My nephews are in town until Tuesday.  I took the weekend off from pet sitting and groming and I took Monday off from my other job so I could spend as much time as I can with them.  They are leaving for Kuwait for 2 years and this is the last time I will be able to see them for that time.  We went to see Harry Potter on Friday, then did some shopping on Saturday.  Their Mom wanted us to get their school uniforms for her, so we did, plus it was a  nasty day here in Charleston.  We went to the beach on Sunday.  We have played LOTS of Monopoly!  Today is a game of badmitton and the County Park.  They are still asleep, man I miss the ability to sleep in. So all in all it has been a great weekend! Julie

I had a good weekend, different, but good Friday night I was sad because I wasn't with the upstate girls having fun, so I jus****ched TV with hubby.    Saturday was surreal.  DH brought me breakfast in bed ( I didn't even earn it).  Homemade blueberry pancakes with blueberries from the farmer's market.  I could just eat 1/2 of one without syrup, but it was good.  I then went to Walterboro to pick up my 16 year old who had been in the mountains with my parent's.  That was fun because I've really really missed my teenager, I'm sure that will only last a week or so.  Then I took Scott to a birthday party.  Its so great not to be embarrassed around other parents and be able to make small talk and stuff.    Sunday was the best.  My husband FINALLY started putting down our hardwood floors, they are beautiful.  Then Kelly showed up at my house and we spent the afternoon at the pool baking in the sun.     I am amazed by how much life has changed since I lost weight.  The littlest things become so precious. Glad your weekend was so nice!  You deserve that. After our fun night out on Friday, I got the obligatory phone call to Mom out of the way on Saturday morning, and then went shopping  (See Jen's post below.  )  I bought a car seat for my son and daughter-in-law ... and about 6 precious little outfits for our new baby girl.  Saturday evening,. we grilled some chicken and had the kids over to eat.  We had potato salad, baked beans, sliced tomatoes, and fresh fruit.  We made homemade ice cream, too ... and I have been enjoying it like medicine, one spoonful twice a day.  How's THAT for self control?  After dinner, we played Pictionary. Sunday was just dreadful.  My husband was in a foul mood, my daughter was moping around the house ... so I cleaned the oven.  And waited until it was time for Big Brother. Thank God for Monday.
