hi there -  hope y'all don't mind me posting in your forum. about me - i didn't have WLS but have lost 110+ lbs. anyway, i will be moving to clemson, sc next weekend where i'll be living for just over a year. i know nothing about the area and have only been there twice to apartment search.  is there anyone in this forum who lives around there who might be interested in a walking partner or something like that? it seems like there are a lot of trails and such around there that would be great to take advantage of. i befriended someone in my area on the plastic surgery forum and we became good walking/healthy lunching buddies so i thought i'd just throw something out there. i'm also worried about the food - it seems like there is a lot of not so healthy food options at the restaurants, so any suggestions about that would also be helpful (i have one friend in the area and every "nice" restaurant she has taken me to and/or told me about seem to have been predominantly fried and/or heavily buttered menus). any thoughts would be appreciated! thanks, andrea

Congrats on your weight loss and welcome to the SC board!  I have only lived here for a short time, less than 6 months, but I already love it!  Good luck with your move!

Hey Andrea! I live in Seneca, just down the road from Clemson :)    This summer is really busy for me, but maybe we can get together!    As far as eating in Clemson...we don't usually.  lol  There isn't much in the way of healthy dining there.   We often go to Anderson if we want to eat out, or go to a place here in Seneca like Fatz, that has some healthy options.  Fatz is good about making food to order, if you want them to leave off the butter or unhealthy options.    Let me know, and I'll PM you my phone number.  :)

hi elizabeth -  my one friend also lives in seneca. i plan to frequent the Bloom there as much as possible! good to know about fatz. the next month at least will be crazy with me trying to settle in but i'd be up for getting together to walk or something when both our schedules slow down. its probably way too hot to even think about being ouside anyway. i see there are a few people in anderson - do you guys ever get together? thanks for the welcome! andrea

The weekends are great for me my husband is out of town through the week so on the weekends I dont need a babysitter to go.  But just about anytime is great.  Let me know when you're ready to start. I haven't gotten together with any of them yet, but not b/c I don't want to.  I'm only 2 months post op and still in awe of all of this. Tanah
