some drama fo' yo' mama!

lol sorry im being goofy today.. after my morning youll see why!  yes rachel .. i know im a drama queen.. its not my fault though, it FOLLOWS ME EVERYWHERE I GO!!!!!! ok.. so preface:  A month or so ago i was going to charlotte to the butt doctor from where i broke my tailbone pole dancing. .. errr i mean DANCING ..   and on the way to charlotte i got pulled over for going 93 in a 65.. yes.. 93. so i was scolded by the HOT cop.. i took his abuse and liked it.. lmao.. and went on my merry way.. he said i had to appear to court Today Friday the 13th of ALL DAYS!!!!!!! I should of known it would be bad.. SOOO I woke up this morning, checked my schedule, it said 11 court.. so i was like cool i got time. I went out to the car to get the citation to see WHERE i had to go. and it said "Friday the 13th at 8:30 AM" OH ****! its 8:20 at this point, and I still have to drive to freakin NC!!!! I was like OMG IM GOING TO JAIL!!!! lol  So I call 411 (They dont put a phone number on the citation to call.. wtf?!?! or an address of where to go?!?! they think were detectives or something?!) SO I got the woman on the phone and she said "as long as youre in the building by 11 youre ok" phew. SO I get dressed up real quick.. looking "NICE" and presentable for the honorable judge.. *eyeroll*.. get there after an HOUR Drive.  Go in, and the cop sitting outside the courtroom asks for my name, I tell him Jennifer Reeves.. he said "Add a couple letters and youd be a revis like me!" he he.. stop joking grandpa im nervous.. then he said "oh nevermind , GOOD GRACIOUS! REVIS' Dont Drive like that!!! " THANKS FOR THE PEP TALK GRANDPA!!! Now MOVE OVER and LET ME IN THE DOORS.. lol he said "take a seat inside they will call you up" I walk in this gosh-forsaken place and ALL The seats are full .. FULL of skanks! I was the only person wearing anything dressy all others were wearing ripped work clothes, pants to their knees, and black eyes! I was like o m g .. and the only seat was beside a thug lol .. so i gracefully sat down with ALL EYES ON ME because i did not fit in there at all wearing my dress and heels looking all preppy! i should of worn jeans and a tshirt and i would of been okay!!! SO now i start having a panic attack.. and thank GOD I had my klonopin in my pocket book with me!!! I had to get up again and walk past the masses to go find a water fountain, and chug one down.. phew.. so back to the hell room, i mean court room.. They start calling people up "judge this is "so and so" , he is charged with failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to yield" Judge said "50 dollar fine and drop the charges" i was like HELL YEA!!! IM Gonna get out of here scott free!!!! . sike.  they call me up there. "Mrs. Reeves do you have an attorney or would like one appointed to you?"  HUH?!?! WHAT?!?!? Did i MISS SOMETHING HERE?!!? i dont need an attorney, IM GUILTY i just want to PAY MY FINE and LEAVE!  "sorry mrs reeves.. your license can be revoked for these charges against you and you have to have a trial by jury" WTF!!!!!!! Whatever happened to good ole SC law where you go in and pay ur dues and LEAVE? these people are morons!!! im like "um okay i guess i will have my own lawyer!?" "see you sept 6th"  JOY! Another trip to hell in september, this time with a lawyer in tote to tell a room full of strangers that my ass was broken and it hurt to ride so i was speeding to get there faster and get OFF of my ass. FUN!   .. the joys of the public judicial system!

Ummmmm...well at least he was a HOT cop.

OMG! You've just made my day! That story is a riot!!! Sorry this has happened to you.. and I don't mean to laugh.. but ..........

Jennifer, Jennifer, Jennifer!!!!    You have such bad luck.  If it wasn't for bad luck-you would have no luck at all.  You and I need to write a book on all our drama.  We have had a share and lived to tell about it.  Get yourself an attorney, make sure he is hot, I might need him one day.  Rachel

Dang girl, are you sure that speeding is all he charged you with? You didn't accidently try to propositon him in any way, shape, or form did you? I have never heard of a jury trial for a speeding ticket unless the person request it. The first time I got a ticket there was a girl in there that was charged with doing 95 in a 35 and it was in a school zone in Mauldin. The judge slapped her on her cute little black leather mini skirted ass and said, $50.00 and 2 points, reduced from over $200.00 and the possibility of loosing her license because of her points already accumilated from prior tickets for speeding. The 2 points kept her from loosing them, imagine that coincidence!  Why do some people have all the luck?  I, on the other hand, was charged with doing 72 in a 55 and got a $125.00 fine with 2 points which was reduced to......... you guessed it, $50.00 and still two points. The unfairness of it all, I guess my black leather mini skirt wasn't short enough, lol. Mary

Holy cow, Jen!   I've never heard of trial by jury for a speeding ticket either!   That sucks :(   Hope you update us with less drama on your court date!    (((HUGS))) to you for such a stinky day. 

I don't know what to say Jen.....except OMG!!!!!!!!!  That is crazy!!!!!!!!!! Big hugs for you today!!!!!!!

That's Buckin' Futt's.  For a speeding ticket....I think you just looked so hot that the judge and the cop wanted to see you again. 

That sucks! I did that one time going thru a section of Cali called Pacheco Pass... which is a stretch of HWY that connects the Valley to the bay Area... Anyways... I was going 95 in a 70.... and APPARENTLY anything over 20mph the speed limit is a misdameanor... crazy huh?!?!  You can actually get a criminal record for speeding!!?!?! Luckily for me, I ignored the ticket and got a bench warrant... and by the time I got it all worked out, they just made me pay some crazy fine and go to traffic school.  We dont have courts in Cali like you guys have out here... but we do have traffic school and that removes one citation a year from your record... so I had to use it for that one cause!!!

MORAL OF THE STORY: SLOW YOUR @ZZ DOWN!!!!!!
