My doctor told me I would not feel hunger for 8 or 9 months after surgery.  Is this true?  Because I think I have been hunger couple of times.

I was told the same thing by the nutritionist and I have been experiencing hunger too since day 1. It is not really bad but I was expecting not to feel hungry at all. I am 2 months out. I told her about it and she asked me if it was just in my head!

Hugs,
Karen

I have only felt it a few times and doctor told me it was in my head.  And I know I was hungry and my sugar had dropped.

I think I felt hunger a couple times, then it was more frequent at about 6 months out for me.   If I eat something small every 3 hrs, then I never feel hungry.   Protein keeps the hunger away longer.  :)
