lil update on my hernia surgery saga

well since the PS didn't do his job now I have to go to a wound center every thursday for them to take out pieces of my incision.... it didn't heal right and it's all gapped open... and I have to have a CT scan done next week for them to find out if the drain tube that was stopped up with blood clots caused damage to my liver and left a abcess (sp?) infront or behind my liver making it swell outwards.... I'm back up to 123 from my awful low of 116 don't ask how but I gained weight.... I'm glad I did cause I felt like CRAPOLA at 116.....  I'll be a year out on July 24th and if you would ask me if I would do it again .... I would say no just a NO but a HELL NO mainly due to the fact I hate hurting all the time... my PCP did give me some pain meds today and we tried to get my prevacid filled but medicade requires it to be authorized before they will fill it... so it'll be around monday before I have something for my tummy and still throwing up light to lil pink blood.... So how is everyone else? to all Stephie

Boy Stephie, If I were you I would give that Dr. a big piece of my mind.  He thought you just wanted pain meds, darn Doctors.  I am glad you are doing a little better.  I have been keeping you in my prayers.  God bless

thank you Tami I'll need all the prayers I can get when they go back and start taking out parts of this incision... I'll be having to sit there and watch them cutting lil chunks out till they get it all cleaned up... God bless you too hon Stephie PS how are you doing?

Hi Stephie, I'm soooo glad you are doing better, I've been praying for you. You said your one year anniversary was coming up, And that if you had to do it again that you wouldn't. Are you talking about you wouldn't have gastric bypass?  Because I thought your gastric bypass was a success. Dr. Ross is AWESOME!   But that the hernia's and surgeries you had with the plastic surgeon was what you have had so much problems with. BLAST THAT PS! Just wondered. Are you going to be at the Hospital meeting this Tuesday? Don't forget "Our Little Group" meets afterwards at Corona's. I hope you and David get to come. Love ya, Debra

I had a hernia repair done with my GB and that made that surgery difficult as well... I don't think I would have started the journey at all... I love Dr. Ross he's treated me GREAT !! but he really needs to rethink the PS he's using for the after cares... I'll try to be there, David finally went back to work and I'm not sure if he'll be home in time since it's 12 hour shifts... I wouldn't be able to afford Corona's though.... love ya too Stephie
