What I learned today from my Surgeon, Dr Byrne

Sorry, its long I went to see Dr Byrne today for a followup on some issues I've been having.  He asked about the LCBB's and I told him how I feel that the whole state is such a wonderful support system.   He mentioned that he would love to go out with us on a Thursday sometime.  I told him about Kathy's Bday and the activities planned.  We then discussed how great it is that we are happy, confident, and trying to have fun.  He said basically, go for everything in moderation.  I told him that I want Kathy and Jen to teach me how to drop it like its hot, he died laughing and wants a lesson himself.    It made me feel good that he realizes that we are just doing what normal sized people have always done.  AND its finally our turn.      I told him that its mostly talk, but its a lot of fun watching formerly fat people finally enjoying life and all of its social aspects, whether its dancing, innocent flirting, or the occasional adult beverage.  Like everyone else, moderation is the key.  In fact, that's what we're learning how to do with food. I love you all Mary PS  I showed him my worst before picture, he has this incredible Irish accent and he said "NO BLOODY way that's you."  You can't have been that big.  I think I'm in love all over again with my Dr. Byrne

God I love that man!   !  He really needs to join on Thursday, especially if a lot of new people will be there.  Maybe if that cruise idea that was thrown around after the MB trip happens he can join us on vacation... On second thought NO!! I woud be too self-consciences with him around.  Julie

I can go the distance... I do not care how far... I know every mile will be worth my while.

My goal in life is to be as good of a person as my DOGS already think I am!

Mary,  I have been keeping you in my thoughts ALL DAY today.   I think that when I relocate I better go to Dr. Byrne's partner.... I cant handle another good-looking AND nice dr... lol.    This one sounds too good to be true!     :)     And your post is not too long.  You have had one heck of a few months.   Just take it a day at a time and breath.    I am still so grateful for how you got me through my last surgery.   Please keep me posted please!! hugs!
