A Weekend of Wow's

It all started Wednesday when I met up with an old friend. It was wonderful talking with them again. It really made my week!!.  Then on Thursday I had my 6 month checkup with Dr Bour. Labs-great, protein levels-great, cholestrol 126, lost 100lbs since surgery, 124 since optifast--down almost 70% of what I need to lose, everything was just excellent!!  Then on Friday, I told my wife I wanted to go for a hike at Paris Mountain. We went, she asked the park ranger what would they suggest because although she has been hiking-I have not done something like this in over 10 yrs (the truth)...he suggested an easy trail. I said no-lets do the 3.8 mile hard trail. 4 times, FOUR times SHE had to ask ME to slow down (and I swear, I was not trying to go fast--I just felt really good), TWICE she said can we please stop!!...hehehe. I cannot tell you how good it felt. This week we're going for the 5.4 mile hike. And in the end-she told me she underestimated me and apologized. WOW!! Saturday we had our 3rd Annual Fathers Day Food Fight. 2 other familes and mine get together and have a "Viking dessert" (Vikings ate with their hands so we eat dessert with our hands-no utensils; cake, ice cream, pudding, pies, everyone has their own bottle of whip cream and choc syrup) and then when someone gets full....WHAP!! the throwing begins. It was a BLAST. We do it outside on a tarp and it gets slippery and everyone slides and cannot stand up.....then we hose off. We did it in the front yard of our best friends house. When it came time for us to hose off, I did something I have not done in over 10 years....I took my shirt off in public. Then I went swimming with no shirt (first time in over 10 years)!!! My friends all quietly congratulated me so as not to make a big scene and embarrass me which was so kind of them. HUGE WOW for me, HUGE Yesterday was spent getting resting. I feel like I lived a lifetime in those 4 days. I am so glad I could share my WOW's with my friends.... Life is good, and getting better all the time....thank you board for bringing this out in me, believe it or not-I'm usually a shy person and posting and getting to know all of you has helped me with my self confidence and self esteem. Where else could a guy like me chat and flirt and kid with so many beautiful women!! You're continued supprt and friendship has meant the world to me...maybe someday I can finally meet you all. Thank you for everything

Chris I'm so proud of you!    I loved reading about all your WOW moments!! Not quite sure I understand the "food fight" thing.. seems like a waste of perfectly good chocolate to me!!! But I guess since you can't eat it anymore.. throwing it at someone is second best!!  You're so much fun to joke around with.. you're brought a lot of laughs into my boring job!! You're a great guy... I don't care what the others say about you!!

Awwwww thanks Stephanie...I appreciate ittttttttttttttttttt...wait---what the others say about me??? HEYYYYYYYY!! I've uploaded a picture from the food fight on my profile....now you can see what I look like covered in chocolate and ice cream and cake...which by the way was one of the fantasies you asked me to do for you OOPS---did I type that outloud???

Chris,    That is so great.  I am so proud of you.  That is such a great weekend.  It sounds like you have accomplished so much and also have such a great support syste with your friend's and wife.  Plus I really  hate to say it, but you make me smile at least once a day.  I can't wait to keep reading about your wow moments.    AND  Susann and I are coming to greenville this weekend for Kathy's birthday.  Why don't you get a babysitter and bring your wife to her party so that you can meet us all instead of this creepy lurking.    Here's to lots more wows in the future Mary

Thank you Kelly!! It was alot of fun. I got a whole apple pie to the face in the beginning. For some ODD reason-I was the favorite target of many who participated. I cannot imagine WHY I bring this out in people....
