Is this what getting old is like?
WOW!!!
What a week. It has been so much fun, but my poor liver needs a break.
Tuesday we were suppose to get home from Michigan about 9:30pm, but because of the storms in Atlanta, we got home around 3am. A little delay. We still had to get up at 6am to get my son (poor thing) off to work. We had him come home and take a nap because he had a hockey game in the afternoon. Mean while I went back up to the airport to get Jill (it was officially Wed by then ). He plane was delayed for an hour also. I hung for a little while, but ended up crashing after the hockey game. I hear JIll and Julie had a good time down town.
Thursday I didn't get an early start, still trying to catch some winks from the MI trip. We went to the meeting and then to the Ice House in Summerville for a few drinks. The waiter gave us a round of shots on the house when we told him Jill was visiting. We left there and went to McGuires in Summerville. We had a good time there. They had a dude singing, he was pretty good. We even saw some guy on guy action . Sorry, that just didn't do much for me. I stayed with Jill down town and I think it was around 2am when we called it a night.
Friday we got an early start. We walked around and did a little window shopping then we took the carriage ride. That was really good. We messed around until it was time to meet at Pogans Porch. I bailed out after lunch, the sweet butter didn't sit well with me. We met back up in the afternoon for Hurricane Alley. That band rocked the house. Good Old School rock and Roll. Lots of friends and fun. We got home about 3:30-4am.
Saturday was the pool party at Susan's. It was nice to see everyone there. I demonstrated my knee slide across the deck. I now have to come up with a good story for why there is a boo boo on my knee. I think wild sex would sound better than I tripped over my on feet.
I was seriouslly thinking on bailing on the pm activities, but after talking with Mary and Jill, I headed down town. It was great seeing everyone. But Wet Willy's just wasn't cutting it for me. I guess I'm too old for the atmosphere. After checking out a few other spots, I went to Wings on Rivers Ave. I hated leaving everyone, but they were in great hands with Julie. Jill, Jennifer, Trent and myself had a blast. This band was alot different from Friday nights band, but they did rock. I think I enjoyed that band better. We closed down the place...again. We even had to hang around to sober up to be able to drive. It was after 4am again when we got home.
This dang son of mine is so responsible. Here he was at 7:30 waking me up to take him to work. All I wanted to do was sleep. So I got motivated (with a big cup of coffee) we drugg all day. I layed down to watch tv about 6pm and got up at 9:30pm. whoops.
As much fun as we have had, I know my liver will thank me for the ice water I am pouring into it.
Thanks to all to had the opportunity to go and have fun with Jill and make this a fun weekend.
Wow you made me tired just reading that story. Glad you all had fun. I cannot say the same about my life. Well I guess it's okay. I just have some family issues again. You know my oldest daughter says she and her family does not believe in God. Well I have been cut off from my granddaughter until I stop being that way as she puts it. No church and me working at a Christian daycare has to sto***** Amber. I will not give up. I know God will bring them back to me. I have to have faith. But it still hurts. And then me and my step son had it out over rules. He says I run this house like Alcatraz..HAHAHAHA. Funniest sh** I have ever heard. I am working everyday except Sat and Sun and enjoying it. Finally got our pool up. And it is fun if the big kids would stay out of it. Not bad for free. Gabriel's surgery to remove his tonsils has to be rescheduled. They are calling me today to let me know when. So I will let you know. I hope everyone is doing great. I can't read a bunch because I have to go to work. I was brave enough to get on the scale yesterday. I have lost 81 pounds...Yeah me....I am so happy. 20 more pounds to the 100 loss. This has been well worth it. And btw..get a watermelon. That was my breakfast today. It was yummy. Oh yeah. Our church is going to Savannah to Lady and Sons. It's owned by Paula Dean. I cannot wait. I really didn't see anything on the lunch menu I was interested in but hey it's Paula Dean....Anyone please feel free to visit my church. Gracepointe in St. George. Would love to see you there. Love jennifer
