My Ms Marcy dog

I have very sad news.  My almost 15 yo Golden Retrieve was sent to doggie heaven on Friday.  She was my Ms Marcy.  Other than the typical puppy stuff she did when she was younger, she distroyed an ottoman, various wallets, belts, and an apartment, she was a great dog!  I have her picture in my profile.  Her and my other dog Lexus were only 2 years apart and best friends.  She went down hill very fast.  On Thursday she was having trouble walking, so Mom took her in and got xrays and blood work.  The xray showed a tumor on her kidneys and what looked like smaller tumors in her lungs.  So Mom brought her home and put her on her bed in the den.  When I came over on Friday, she had not moved and was breathing very heavy, so I helped Mom take her back to the vet.  She just laid there, no movement or struggling to help us get her up.  When the vet came in and saw the blood work it confirmed what they had suspected on Thrusday.  A tumor on the kidney that was pushing everything forward and had matastizied(sp) to the lungs.  So we helped crossover to doggie heaven.  She is there with the rest of our gang we have had over the years.  So now we have 4 dogs with my Lexus taking over the role of the Matriarch of the dog pack. Thanks Kathy.  She was like my second child after Lexus.  I was OK with it all until I put the caption on her pic on my profile, then I lost it  !  It is strange around our house with only 4 dogs. Take Susann up on her offer, come to beach!! Thanks again, Julie

Thanks Stephanie.  Pets are a part of the family, especially in my house.  Our house is where every dog would love to retire to.  They are allowed everywhere, including the funiture.  We have dog beds in every room.  I have 2 in mine.  But of course my girls sleep on the bed with me.  I am crazy about my dogs I know . Thanks again Julie

So sorry to hear about your loss.  Dogs really do become part of the family don't they?  It's good her "people" could be there to help her to the other side.  I'll be thinking about you....S
