What have you used on your scars?

I have been reading different things, I didnt know about these when I had my GBS... they have silicone scar sheets?   They are very $$.   So, I dont know if it is worth it.   Has anyone had any experience with these?    When I had my GBS I used a generic scar gel and I thought it worked well.  I know a lot of you prob didnt have open rny?   I did...  so my incision line is kinda long!   now i have my breast surgery incisions to contend with.    I have been cleared to start using any kind of lotions or gels, but in doing my research I see all these ads for silicone sheets?!     I am going to go to the store tomorrow and price some stuff out.   i want to get the right items, and of course my dr.s office is now closed until monday.... lol I bet everyone is out or away until Monday from here too....  lol anyone?  anyone?      xo oh... and in case anyone is wondering..  4 days and 16 hours.....        i need to get outa here.... now! xoxo

Hi Jessica,  my surgeon here says to not bother with the expensive scar lotions.  She instructed me to massage my scar every morning and night (or whenever) and that this would help dimini****  I use good old cocoa butter and my scar is getting lighter.  I had open RNY and my scar is long And wide!  There will not be enough plastics in the world to get me into a bikini!  I hope you enjoy your visit here in Charleston.  These ladies are super....S
