Update on Me....gallbladder surgery!!!!

Hey everyone, we had a great trip to Disney.  I'll post some pictures later.  On Thursday before we left I had a gallbladder attack and ended up in the hospital that night.  The doctor released me and told me to enjoy my vacation BUT I must eat 100% low to no fat the entire vacation.  And believe me I did...I was too scared to not eat that way.  Gallbladder pain was the worst pain I had ever experienced and I have had two kids, one was 9 1/2 lbs!!!! I have my surgery scheduled for Thursday morning and will be out for about a week.  Once I get back I sould be 100% GREAT. BTW -- eating healthy at Disney wasn't as hard as you would think.  Most places have grilled chicken sandwiches or turkey wraps.  I had to remove the bacon and mayo from the wraps but it worked for me.  I think this was the first vacation I have ever lost weight on!!!

i agree. Gallbaldder pain is BAD.. I had one one time and i was on the bathroom floor begging for God to take me! It was awful! I also had childbirth with no pain killers, no epidural, and WITH pitocin pumping in me.(NOT By choice!!) it was worse than the gallbladder, but the gallbladder can get as bad almost! I had gallbladder attacks for two years before my idiot PCP figured it out. it was hard as a rock when they removed it, it had calcified! After ur gallbladder is removed you might think you have dumping syndrome alot.. I had the same thing after mine was taken out, without the nausea, just horrible diahrea . good luck!! Hope disney was fun!

Thanks Jen, Disney was a blast.  My children, including the husband, had soooo much fun.  I hope everything is ok Thursday...

Hey kelly!  Sorry to hear about the GB surgery, but life without a GB is fine.  I had mine out about 10 years ago.  Glad it did not ruin your trip!!!  keep us posted!!!1 Melissa
