Question for Columbia post opsHey

Hey Columbia area people, I have a friend that is interested in having the surgery and she lives in that area.  Could you please tell me who the surgeons are down there and why you chose the one that you did?  Thanks Rachel

Hey there, I live in this area.  My surgeon was Dr. Glen Strickland at Riverside Surgical Center.  They are associated with Lexington Medical Center.  Call me biased but I LOVE LMC...of course, I work there too!!!  LOL  We have a wonderful bariatric center that is 100% dedicated to the needs of our community.  Check out the web site for Riverside Surgical... http://www.scobesity.com/

Hi, Rachel!  I, also, had Dr. Glen Strickland.  He is an excellent surgeon - and easy on the eyes, too !  LOL  Everyone in their office is so friendly and so helpful.  If they don't know something, they will find out and they actually return calls! The hospital was, also, excellent.  The nurses were all great and it was just a wonderful experience all the way around.  So much so that when I needed hernia surgery this past January, I went back to him instead of finding someone locally.  I truly trust him and his staff!! Thanks for the information on Lexington Medical Center.  I am almost 3 months post op, down 53 lbs and relocating to that area the end of the month.  I am going to need  doctor to f/u with my surgery.  I will look into it?  Do they have support groups and stuff at the Lexington Hospital?? Sheila

Hi Rachel, it's Lucinda again. I use Dr. Tribble, but he is not in Lexington. He is with Palmetto Health Baptist in Columbia.The Weight Management Center's # is 803-376-5982. On Laural st. right next to the fire dept. Hope this helps. Good luck and welcome to the area! Lucinda
