Almost finished the 1st step!

I am sorry I haven't posted in awhile. I have found a doctor and went to the seminar...ps thanks Dianne S. I have been busy doing the things they said I needed to do and I have gotten with my doctor and we have discussed what he needed to put together, I have finished my 6-week supervised weight loss and I am just waiting for my PCP to call me and tell me he has everything together...Then I will be calling Dr. Ross in Spartanburg and hope he takes me as a patient. Wish me luck and give me any advice I may need to help with the approval since I am my PCP's first patient to do this. (He didn't think it was possible with someone with medicaid and medicare he is pleasantly suprised) Diane W.

Thank's Dianne, I will let you know each time I cross a new hurdle! You were the one who led me to Dr. Ross and I am truly thankful for that. My PCP seems to be taking forever to get my paperwork together, but I am so anxious so it seems like longer!  Thanks for everything! Diane

Good Luck Diane.  This board and the people on it are a lifesaver as you are going through the process...and the support group in the upstate has almost as many wonderful people in it as the LCBB group, so take advantage of their support too. Oops...I probably got myself in trouble with that one.....  All of the upstate ladies know how much we love them and think of them.  Please know that people who have been through this are as much a tool as your new little pouch.

Thankyou Susie, I keep turning to the board when I just need to feel support. Sometimes just reading other peoples stories helps me. No one else in my family has struggled with a weight problem as bad as me. My husband is one of those that can eat anything...so this is my place to have understanding. Diane
