Plan's for Jill's visit..........

We are looking to show Jill a good time when she comes to Charleston.  I am picking her up from the airport on Wed, the 20th and we are going to check her in her room and then show her around a little.  On Thursday she is going to the lcbb meeting.  Does anyone want to go out anywhere afterwards?  We would also like to go downtown to the market one day and go out on the weekend?  We are trying to plan ahead for her as to have a plan and allow her to use her time here to get an idea of where she may want to live, work and play. Does anyone have any suggestions??????? Let's show her what a great bunch we are.  Let me know if you have any ideas?   Deb

I'd like to host a Saturday get together at my house on the 23rd about 12pm.  How does that sound with everyone?  We'll have a pool party, cook hot dogs and hamburgers, etc.

Susan,  this is SO VERY KIND and GENEROUS of you.      I will help you bright and early set up and clean up after.     I am good in the kitchen too.    Just tell me what to do and I will do it.    Do they make bathing suits that come to your knees?   i have not been to a pool party since pre-wls..... lol I love you all, already.      xoxo Will there be any grits?    xo

It is supposed to be every restraunt around here. Also there are some places downtown that serve good shrimp and grits...I just dont know exactly where myself.

Where?  Sounds fun, but trust me, they don't even let me sing in the shower at home.  It isn't pretty. We need to plan a market trip down town one day or afternoon.  She will be staying down there.  We also need to take her for some traditional Charleston seafood.   Deb

omg... the last time I did Karoke was in NYC and I sang.... "these boots were made for walking"  Nancy Sinatra's song... and several people went to the bar and/or bathroom immediately.     sooooo I just have to warn you right now.    you may want to re think this...    I adore you, Susann!     I will have to have at least "3 dixie cups of wine" to do karoke instead of one... lol sounds great!    all of this.      friday night was the only night I didnt have a plan in mind... actually every night is flexible and I was playing it all by ear.  I do have plans with Julie for Thursday and Friday during the day she is showing me around and Mary is trying to take a 1/2 day on Friday to join in.....  I know that julie cant get on the board right now to post that.   So, that is it.  I do want to take a coach/carriage ride. I also read about the farmer's market on sat and sundays downtown or is that every day?    and Julie and I were going to go to Poogan's Porch because it was named after a dog... and we are going to go into business one day...... (at least that is my little fantasy..... lololol) xoxo
