HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

I'm only working until noon today... I've got a lot to get done before the yard sale tomorrow... So I just wanted to wish everyone a HAPPY FRIDAY!! You have about 4 hours to entertain me.. then I'm outta here!!!  

I have to wor****il...no wait-I'm off for the next 10 days....my bad I hope you have a GREAT yard sale. Try selling those boxes under your bed...hehehe

Good Moring and Happy Friday.... haha... I think the board got started on a good note today.... TGIF!!!

I'm sleepy!!! Wake me up.  Make me laugh. Or do my work!  I need to catch up over here. But I do have lunch with hubby today.  (REAL LUNCH, not NOONER lunch) and then I have happy hour with friends woo hoo!! Something to look forward to.

Oooo! A 'Half-day" ... I know how excited you are about that. Best of luck on your yard sale tomorrow, Stephanie ... wake up earlier than you think you need to, and be prepared.  The "PROS" come early, and they come ready to haggle over prices.  Once I almost had a wrestling match in my driveway betweeen 2 old women ... over nothing but a cheap floor lamp.  Best entertainment EVER at 6 AM.

Thanks for the advice Miss Dawn... I've heard about the professional yard-salers in SC..  John and I will be up at 5am getting ready... we've now got 20 families signed up so it should be a great turn out.. I checked this morning.. and my ad is in the paper..  running today and tomorrow..  I might not have 2 old women fighting over a floor lamp.. but I did advertise that were selling NASCAR Memorabilia..so we might see a GREAT FIGHT over that crap... errrrrr... I mean the stuff John is selling !!!! Have a safe trip to GA.. I hope your mom have a successful surgery and a speedy recovery!

Don't haggle early in the morning, especially with dealers.  They will try to get your stuff for practically nothing, then turn around and sell it for alot more than you asked for it. WE had this couple coming around buying up all the baby stuff and acting like it was worth nothing.  then we had this poor, OBVIOUSLY pregnant young girl come along and complain that she was looking for a pack and play and those people had bought 4 of them before she got a chance to get one! These same people tried to by a jumper thingy from Marcey (brand new) for $1.  She was asking $5 for it.  When she told them she would take $3, they turned their nose up at it.  The pregnant girl came along saw it and immediately bought for the full amount.  it was BRAND NEW!  She was so happy to finally get something for her baby. I HATE those dealer people.  I know what they looked like because they came to my yard sale before when I was selling Teagan's stuff.  They tried to convince me that my stuff was worth nothing too.  i almost want to skip Carowinds tomorrow and go to your yard sale so I can keep them from buying anything!! LOL!

Well come on then!!  At the stroke of NOON.. I can have the blender whirling with MARGARITA'S!  I'll keep my eyes open for those guys!

My philosophy is...and remember I made $612 on my last sale---is just sell it. Get rid of it. Take $3 instead of $5. The bigger ticket items---like I had a dorm room size refrig for $40...knowing I would take $35. A guy said--I'll give you $20 (an early customer, 7am)...I said I have an offer of $30 already, sorry and walked away. He came up to me and said--how about $33....SOLD!!! Little crap---take anything, bigger crap, play the game. I tell everyone that comes to the sale, "Quantity discounts apply---pick out ALOT and I'll mmake you a deal" HEY=I got my tickler to work
