My Consultation Yesterday

I have to say everyone at Dr. Byrnes office was just as sweet as can be! The nutritionist..the phsyc evaluater, the nurses..everyone! I met with Dr. Morgan and I couldn't believe how she listened to me. I really wanted to have the Lapband procedure done and I thought for sure she would tell me no way...RNY or nothing. Not even close. They were happy to see I had lost 14lbs since I had sent in my paperwork and have started my weight loss journey before the surgery. She said she thought I was a perfect candidate for the Lapband. I know I won't lose as fast as you awesome gastric bypass patients, but I hope to be on the losing side also. She said she would turn the paperwork in to my insurance and should have a surgery date in a couple weeks. I am so excited. Thank you everyone on this board. I don't post here a lot, but I read and laugh a lot! I enjoy the humor and the fun. Am I still welcome at the LCBB meetings when I can come even though I am not having gastric bypass. I think I can learn a lot from you ladies and gents! Teresa

Everyone is welcome at the LCBB meetings. Everyone is so nice at them. You are always welcome. I don't get to come often but hopefully soon. My summer work schedule is changing and I should have Thursdays off.  Congratulations on your weight loss and your upcoming surgery. You will do great. Thanks ladies! I guess my main fear is that I will come and eat a mass quantity and everyone will just stare at me..lol. Right now I'm working on Thurs. nights, but as soon as I have one off I will be there! Should be easier also when school is out! Teresa
