dr. bour

would like to hear from folks that have dr. bour in greenville, sc as a surgeon.

There are a lot of us here who have had Dr Bour as our surgeon. He is a Great surgeon who knows what he is doing.. I recommend him highly.. He might not have the best bedside manner as you will hear but he is great at what he does.. I wouldnt of let anyone else operate on me or my dad.. My dad was close to 600 lbs and he was still able to do him laproscopically which is amazing! You should go to one of their information sessions, I think Patti (one of the girls here who had surgery last year ) is speaking at the one I think its either tonight or tomorrow night right patti??  Good luck!

Does he do surgery at Spartanburg Regional or only at St Francis Women's Hospital?

He doesnt do surgery at Spartanburg Regional, And he doesnt do it at St. Francis anymore either. He does it at Hillcrest Hospital in Simpsonville (which is part of Greenville Hospital System) which is GREAT . I love that hospital.. I live in Spartanburg, and would PREFER Hillcrest over regional any day.. Ive had surgery at both and the care I received at Hillcrest was better than any hospital Ive stayed at.. But everyone has their own opinions about both! :)  Dr. Ross is at Spartanburg regional he is the one who works there for Gastric Bypass and he is really good also, There are several women here who had surgery from him and love him as well! :)

i laugh because ive GAINED Weight  from vacation and everything ive been eating like a horse! lol.. i keep tottering around 177-180.. i havent really "lost" weight for a couple mths and then i only lost a couple lbs.. i think it must be the sunlight on me in the picture! LOL.. for my "goal" weight i should be 160-165.. but i havent been "Trying" to lose lately. everyone keeps telling me i dont need to lose anymore.. but u know us GB Patients , we wanna reach "GOAL" .. i hate that word.. Thanks for worrying about me

You  are right, it is tonight at 7:00. I have to be there at 7:30. Pray for me, I am a little nervous about it. Dr Bour is great, bedside manner stinks but you can't have it all! He saved my life and I will always respect him. Patti Good luck!

you will do GREAT!!! I saw you at the preop thing you did and it was fantastic!!!  When I did my informational session i was soooo nervous.. but once they showed my "before" picture on the screen that I hadnt seen at all before, I was in such SHOCK and AWE over that, the rest was a piece of cake!  haha.  of course the people who are there, are probably MORE nervous than YOU if you think about it. I remember how SCARED and Excited i was at my first meeting there! You look great and are a GREAT role model for the program!  love ya chick!
