I, too, am sooooo glad to have met you. You are AWESOME!!!! Not only have you done a fantastic job in losing weight....(and you do look fabulous ), but you have warmed my heart with your friendship. Thank you so much for listening to the ramblings of my so called life!! I love you, my friend!!

Congrats Dawn!!!!  You are an amazing woman...I had no idea until we talked what a hard time you had and you are a incredible inspiration to Joel and I.  I can't thank you enough for calling and talking to me, that really gave Joel some encouragment!!  YOU ROCK! ~ Deidre

Thank you Deidre.  I wish I could do something in my life to actually deserve that praise.  I'm happy, though ... if what I went through can encourage you and Joel a little bit.   My thoughts today are with Joel, I hope things are improving for him.  I know it's incredibly hard.  I haven't forgotten. I remember the tears I cried because I just wanted A FREAKIN' ICE CHIP on my tongue.  I still remember  the nights in ICU, and the unending nausea.  I haven't forgotten the weeks in the hospital,  the IV nutrition, or  the chest tube.  I will never forget the pneumonia.  But I promise it's the truth ... I'd STILL choose this path.  The rewards have been so worth the rough beginning.   I hope and pray that Joel will feel EXACTLY the same way on May 9, 2008.   Thanks again ... what a sweetheart you are!

ACK!  I'm late! I've been asleep all morning, still in my jammies... I love you Dawn and I am super proud of you! There isn't much that I can say that hasn't already been said, but you are truly the textbook example of that beautiful butterfly coming out of her cocoon that everyone talks about with this surgery.  All the things you do today that you would not have done last year...WOW!  I am so lucky to be one of the lucky people that gets to witness it! I am so blessed to have gotten to know you my shopping, dancing, socializing soul sister!
