Going Green
To change the subject off of my mother in law...
We as a family have been making changes to go green, and help the environment.
Some easy changes we've made is
* We've changed all the lights in the house to the new screwy ones
* We recycle all our plastic bags
* We don't do laundry unless it is a full load
* We don't do dishes in the dishwasher unless it is a full load
* I'm switching over all bills and statements to online ones-not paper ones
* We recycle all paper now
* We get paper bags from the grocery stores now instead of plastic ones
* I put a container of water in the back of all the toilets so we flush less water
* No more running water while brushing teeth
* We try to cut shower times by just 1 minute per person per day
Does anybody have any other idea's that maybe simple to do but will have a lasting effect for the environment???
I think youre doing a good job being green... I mean for goodness sakes... you dont even buy new underwear...
NOW THATS SAVING THE ENVIRONMENT!!!! think of all the cotton you dont waste...
no.. but for real... my son is super into going green... he saves cans and bottles. Back home, they have places that pay you for them so he used to get $ that way...it was a good incentive!
He swears he will buy a hybrid when its time for a car....
we'll see!
Do you have any E85 gas stations near you?
Have you ...
