I Always Miss the Drama
Hey Guys!!
Well, I just got home and have spent an hour reading up on the day!!....and I gotta add my 2 cents. I hate all this stuff happened yesterday. I have known a lot of you for a year and you have become such good friends to me. Without my surgery and this board, that wouldn't have happened. I wouldn't trade that for anything.
I heard someone comment last night that Dr. B. said something about he did the HARD PART by performing the surgery, all we had to do was follow the rules...... Does he not understand that the hard part is living it....day in - day out, year in - year out?? We didn't get overweight overnight and we need each other who has lived in our shoes and knows what it is like when we couldn't bend over and tie them!!!! If we didn't have each other for support, and only had the meeting once a week (or for me, it's once a month for Dr. Ross' group)...we would surely struggle and possibly be worse off than before surgery.
I'm very fortunate that Dr. Ross is very supportive for any outside support that we get (so what if it's a restaurant....where else are you going to get a group of 8-12 people together for hours at a time??). He understands that we need it. His focus is on his patients...and how we are handling our life and if we have a better life than what we had prior to surgery. If we are living a better life...then we are a success.
And you know what SC?????? WE ARE A SUCCESS!!!!!!!
Love you guys!!
Hugs,
Dianne
