WOW! It must have been one heck of a meeting. I always went to support meetings and enjoyed them very much. But when they changed the time to 6:30 I could not get there in time driving from Greenwood. I always look at the chats on Tuesday morning to get caught up on what is going on at the meetings. All of you do a great job telling what went on. I am sorry that something went down last night. Please keep the post coming so I can keep up with whats going on. You can also e-mail me at work [email protected]. I promise I do not carry tales!!!! Hope to meet all of you one day at a meeting. Terry G

Kathy...DITTO on all that you said. I can't believe someone has the time to spy on everyone else and then go "tattle-tale" on us! And especially when there's no tale to tell. I wish I had that much time in the day...I'd go do something useful like volunteer to feed the homeless. They definitely need to GET A LIFE! And I would also think that they have way too much to do at Dr. B's office to spend the day lurking around these boards...obviously they don't! Anyway...thank you for your support and your willingness to put yourself out there to help us all stay motivated. I appreciate your friendship. LET'S PUT ALL THIS CRAP BEHIND US AND NOT LET THESE PEOPLE HAVE ANY MORE CONTROL OVER OUR EMOTIONS AND LIFE THAN THEY ALREADY HAVE! They have already sucked out too much of our energy as it is! Have a good day! Melanie

Kathy, my doctor is in Columbia. So I have no idea about meetings or other things you are mentioning. It is fairly easy to put together the pieces from what you are saying....I guess some noisy people have been browsing around and have reported back things to your doctor. This is very unfortunate. But as a new member it is very sad that we all might be labed as potiental threats because of some bad apples in the bunch. That was a very imature thing for them to have done to you. If someone had a problem with something you were doing they should have confronted you head on instead of being like a rat and running and telling on you. This board is very important to me. Without it I would be completely terrified. I love making new friends and being able to talk with people in all stages. No I haven't had my surgery yet....I am in the middle of the storm as you could say and I don't know what I would do without the support I have received here. I feel safe and happy knowing that I have people I can turn to. It's unfair that all the NEW people would be rediculed and treated as a potential problem because of a couple of stupid people. I am so sorry about whatever you have had to endure; but please don't turn the rest us away.

No, Jaye it isn't all new people tha \t we consider a threat. As a matter of fact, I didn't consider anyone a threat. It is actually some people in OUR doctors office that lurk and go to his support group meetings. Basically, we put ourselves out there and invited some of the other patients to our after meetings and to this board for some additional support. AND instead of accepting and seeing what it was like, they judged us, did not come and spread rumors that got back to our doctor. He then gave us a lecture. It's been eye opening. You just can't be friendly with everyone. We've learned the hard way and I'm sorry some of the newbies may get less from us because of it, but I have to protect myself.

I am so sorry that this happened to you guys. I do understand in a lot of ways; but in other ways still makes me sad to think that I might potentially miss the chance to be friends or get advice from you guys. I do understand about protecting yourself. Unfortunately, this place is no different than the places we work in. I have been an educator for over fourteen years. You would think teachers would be easy to confide and be friends with; but there is always that one or two people that love to run and tell your administors. Ususally it's a tiny grain of truth completely taken out of context and turned into a complete lie.(sounds like the same situation you are in) I am so sorry for the pain and the humiliation you and others in your group have had to endure. I wish there was something I could do. I don't think your Dr. handled the problem in the best way either. Again, I am so very sorry for what you all are going through.
