Well, I got yard sale on Saturday, but those plans for sunday sound MARVELOUS.
I think I will do that...unless it rains. If it rains. I will go with them to the movies.

To paraphrase a Hallmark card I saw this week, while shopping for my Mom:
"20 hours of excruciating labor pain, countless sleepless nights, 18 years of sacrifice ... and in appreciation, here's your Mother's Day Card."
Yay. I love Mother's Day. :sarcasm:
My Dad's famous line (Every. Single. Year.) when asked why he did NOTHING for our Mom on Mother's Day: "She's not MY mother."
My husband says the same thing now. Soooo funny.
Thanks for the wishes, SM ... you're a good guy.

My dad said the same thing to my mom!! What a jerk!
At least your kids are old enough now to do something for you on their own.

And in case you were wondering....I do walk my talk....
I sent my Mommy flowers Wednesday to her work. She works with some young things and when the flowers come through the door--they all say "For me??" and then the guy gives 'em to my Mom---she feels special. Always big arrangement-always carnations (her favorites). Since my Dad passed away several years back--she appreciates them more at work than to her home
And she gets them for her birthday, Valentines Day, her wedding anniversary, the week of my Dad's death.....and its always something from Swiss Colony, something decadent she can share with family that comes over (she lives in CT).
For my wife this year my daughters (10 and 7) surprised her with a new mattress (when did mattress get so expensive-we got that memory foam thing) and they got her the kitchen aid mixer she always wanted!!
She HATES when we give her flowers---says they make her sneeze and a waste of money...so we don't do that.........
But ya gotta take care of the Mom's
Chris
