3 Month Check-Up

Well, I'm back from my 3 month check up with Dr. Bour. I did the Happy Dance all the way home. I'm officially off all my prescription medications that I took before surgery. I just have to monitor my blood pressure and make sure the numbers stay where they should. AND I've lost 45% of my excess body weight. Dr. B said I'm a 5% ahead of the curve (but I bet he says that to all his patients). AND my BMI is no longer morbidly obese. He told me to keep doing what I've been doing. Just told DH and he did a Happy Dance for me before leaving for work. YIPEEE!!!! What a great Friday!!! Colleen

Congratulations! You are doing great so far. NO, he doesn't say that to all his patients, I'm living proof of that. At 3 months he wasn't really thrilled with the fact I was down at the bottom of that curve. Even at 6 months I have only lost 50% of my weight, but he said he now has a better picture of how my weight loss is going. Since my curve has been a smooth gradual decline with no peaks (going up) indicating Im not doing what I should, he seemed pleased with my progress. Happy doctor=happy patient, lol.
