I read how some of you can eat 1/2 of a sandwich.. or some tacos... or nacho's Am I the only one who can't eat bread.. or chips.. or tortilla? It seems like anything made of white flour just hits my pouch like a ton of bricks and comes back up... I can eat wheat crackers... but that's about it.. If I want a sub.. I can only eat the filling..A hamburger... I can only eat the burger.. not the bun.. I've tried to eat it.. TRUST ME! I miss breads.. but my pouch is standing firm on her rejection on this...

I've only been able to eat a small bite or two of breads. And when I do, I chew it REALLY REALLY well. Doing it this way I don't have a problem with it. But-by staying away from the breads, you're probably better off. Chris

You're right.. I am better off.. but it's so bad.. I can't even eat a chicken figer if it's gone any type of breading on it...

Hey Stephanie- I can eat bread, pasta, tortillas all the bad stuff. I did not start eating it until I has about 6 months or so. At first, it was only a few bites, but now I can eat a whole tortilla and most of a sandwich (depending on how much stuff is on it). Some people have a problem with it and some don't. It usually gets better/easier as times goes by. Melissa

Don't get me wrong.. it seems my pouch is working like it should .. The other day, I couldn't help myself.. and took a few bites of pizza... OMG It seems the 'dough-ier" (if that's a word) the bread product is... the worse it is..

That is exactly what it is. The yeast. It keeps swelling in your pouch. I do better with toasted bread or thin crust pizza. Yummo!!!! No problems there!! Melissa

I have problems with bread and rice. Tortillas and other flat breads or really toasted bread, I tolerate well. The more 'yeasty' the bread is, the worse I feel. I don't usually throw things up anymore, but boy does it feel like a brick in my pouch after a while. Just stay away and be grateful that you have that negative reinforcement keeping you away from the bad stuff. Kathy

I said "doughier" earlier.. but you hit the nail on the head.. it's the "yeasty" breads... like hand tossed pizza.. and sub rolls

YOU HAVE THE BEST POUCH ON EARTH, GIRL! THANK YOUR LUCKY STARS YOU CAN'T EAT BREADS, CHIPS & TORTILLAS ... THEY SLOW YOUR WEIGHT LOSS, SPIKE YOUR SUGAR & REALLY HAVE BASICALLY NO/LOW NUTRITIONAL VALUE. I PICK THE BREAD OFF OR ORDER WITHOUT THE BREAD & EAT THE INSIDE. IT'S RARE ANYMORE THAT I EAT WHITE CARBS/STARCHES ... SOMETIMES, BUT NOT OFTEN. GOD BLESS YOU ... DAWN & NICk
