General questions regarding food intake
I am 7 weeks and 1 day post-op today and am down 37 lbs and just need some advise regarding the amount of food I eat. When it comes to soups, I can generally eat about 1/2 cup and foods that are a little heavier in texture, I can only eat about 1/4 cup. As a general rule, should I only be doing about 1/4 cup of everything I eat and is 1/2 cup mean that I am over doing it? My main concern is stretching out my pouch. It just seems that some days I feel hungrier than others. Why is this? Also, can anyone suggest some recipes for the protein shakes where you can mix stuff in where you can't taste of smell the protein? I'm still not getting all of my protein in and I need something to jazz those drinks up so I can tolerate them. Any advise and help would be much appreciated. Hope everyone has a great day!

Soup is more liquid so that is normal that you can eat more of that I always could so you are normal. As far as protein shakes i'm 18 months out and just recently found one I love. Melissa posted the recipie but I will tell ya. About 8 oz of unsweetend pinapple juice add one sweetner pack (splenda, sweet & low, etc) 1/2 bananna and scoop of vanilla protein ( I use the cheap stuff from wally world) and ice, blend and yummy treat is ready. I think the pinapple takes away the protein flavor completly.
