Hunger

I am sooo hungry today. Why? I don't understand. It isn't that time of the month. Here is what I have eaten. I just finished lunch and I am still hungery!!!!! 6:30- Protien Bar 9:00 - grapes 10:30- 4 peanut crackers 11:30 - lean gourmet meal and peaches I"M STILL HUNGRY. NORMALLY I AM STUFFED BUT I FEEL HUNGERY NOW!!! OH MY!!!

Per Dr.B and my dietician, Go ahead and eat then. You don't do it everyday but if you are hungry then maybe your body has not gotten what it needs. Get something healthy and have a go at it. Robin

Was your lean gourmet meal a pasta one? Those NEVER satisfy me for very long. It could be that. Eat some protien and don't feel guilty. Like Robin said, chances are your hunger is a sign of some missing nutrient in your body. I remember Dr. Bour telling us that at one of my Pre-op meetings last year. Kathy

Yes, it was! I didn't think about that. I bet it just kinda passed on through. Normally I have a satisfied feeling after lunch but today, I did not. I'll go get a protein bar out of my car. Thanks Rachel P.S. How is your tooth feeling?

Hi Rachel, Some protein bars are loaded with carbs and low in actual protein too. You should check that. I have noticed that when I start my day with carbs I am starving all day. Also try having a protein with your grapes, like maybe a string cheese with it? Or some cottage cheese or have you tried the carb control yogurts? I find that fruit, even that it is a healthy sugar, is a sugar just the same and it tends to cause me to get hungry. Are you getting your water in... you could try to up it. In the beginning I had to get a lot in. They (my dr's office) said to take your body weight and divide it in 1/2 and that would be how much water you should be drinking per day. My dr. also always says protein first, and then veggies, and then carbs/fruits... ps how is the pain from the fall in the bathroom? hugs, J.
