I'm still not feeling so well so I think I will sit home and keep my sickness to myself. How long does this crap last? I haven't thrown up any today but I'm weak as all get out and I just can't get myself up and motivated for anything. The only thing I can drink is ice cold water from a straw and I mean ice cold! I can drink that down in no time. I stay thirsty too, is that normal? When will I get my energy back? And when will people quit telling me I look sick in the face? I'm so sick of hearing that crap! Well back to bed I go..Have fun tonight..

Sorry you still feel so bad Tanya and we will miss you tonight....I think you are still feeling so bad because you are only 2 weeks out and got the "bug". That bug made me feel bad in the first place, then to be 2 weeks out on top of it! Just stay in bed and rest and you should be up and around by the weekend! But, don't expect your energy to come back for a couple of more weeks. I am older, so it took me a couple of months, but you have youth on your side. Susann

LISTEN MS TANYA, IF YOU THINK YOU'RE GETTING DEHYDRATED (staying thirsty), CALL DR BYRNE ... MAYBE THERE IS SOMETHING LIKE ELECTROLYTES (isn't there a low-sugar Propel?) THAT COULD HELP YOU. THE LAST THING YOU WANT IS TO GET DEHYDRATED ... THAT IS THE ONE THING YOU COULD END UP IN THE HOSPITAL FOR REALLY FAST. YOU'VE JUST HAD MAJOR SURGERY SO YOU'RE GONNA LACK ENERGY ... IT TAKES 3 MONTHS JUST FOR YOUR INSIDES TO HEAL. DUE TO MY HEART CONDITION, IT TOOK ME 10 MONTHS TO OVERCOME THE AFTER-SURGERY EXHAUSTION, BUT NOT TO WORRY, THAT IS AN EXTREME CASE ... YOU SHOULD GET TO FEELING BETTER & BETTER & BE FEELING REALLY GOOD AROUND 3 MONTHS OUT. IT'S JUST THAT PEOPLE ARE USED TO SEEING YOUR FACE PLUMP ... THEY HAVE TO GET USED TO THE NEW YOU! I THOUGHT YOU LOOKED GREAT AT THE VITAMIN SHOPPE, ESPECIALLY FOR JUST BEING OUT OF MAJOR SURGERY! KEEP YOUR CHIN UP! GOD BLESS YOU ... DAWN & NICk

Take it easy... My energy was zapped for about a month or two after my surgery. After I got that bug about a month ago, it took about 2 weeks to get some energy back. So being only 2 weeks pot-op and having the bug, it is no wonder you are exhausted and probably take you a while to get some of the energy back. Give it time and remember, sip, sip, sip. By the way, I still have to have my water ice cold. If it isnt I just do not get it in like I should. I hope you feel better real soon. We have scary movies to go see. Julie

Hi Tanya I am just a little over 6 weeks out from surgery and just wanted to let you know that I'm finally starting to get just a little of my energy back, but I'm still not 100% so hopefully as the days go by, you'll start feeling better also. I still feel very weak at times but I know this will get better. I honestly did not think that it would take me this long to start feeling better, but some of the wonderful ladies on this site have told me feeling like this is normal and it will get better. I hope you feel better real soon and good luck to you with your weight loss. Melanie

Tanya, I was real thristy at first also and the only thing that did it for me was small chips of ice. Sonic has it. If you want me to bring you some I don't mind I've got some in my freezer right now. Call me 469-6664 Jennifer

Becky you're such a sweetheart. I would say sure but not only is my house a total disaster but I don't think I can keep it down. I tried a carnation instant breakfast milkshake earlier and thought it was the BEST thing...then all of a sudden it hit me. I didn't throw up but I gave the rest to my garbage disposal Calvin.
