Dry cereal snacks

Does anyone have any suggestions for a good cereal to eat dry, possibly-hopefully high in protein and low in sugar and fats? I can't seem to find one other than Special K with protein. I've tried mixing cereals (Kix, Special K and Honey and Oats) but have yet to come up with a good combination....any suggestions?

I like the Kashi Go-Lean Crunch with almonds and flax. It has these great little chunks of cereal in them that are perfect for snacking. It's sweet too so it satisfies crunchy and sweet for me. I think it's maybe 9 grams of protein and 7 of fiber or maybe it's the other way around. Look for it at wal-mart or wherever you shop. Good Luck!

I USE THE SPECIAL K WITH PROTEIN BUT VERY SPARINGLY ... CEREAL, ALTHOUGH GOOD FOR YOU IF IT IS WHOLE GRAIN, ETC, CAN BE VERY HIGH IN SUGAR ... & CARBS (usually high in fiber, though). YOU DON'T WANT TO EAT CEREAL EVERY DAY ... IT TAKES UP A LOT OF CALORIES THAT YOU PROBABLY NEED TO GET IN YOUR PROTEIN. REMEMBER, WHOLE GRAINS ARE THE LEAST IMPORTANT FOOD WE NEED TO EAT. IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE FOR GASTRIC BYPASS PATIENTS, IT GOES ... PROTEIN, DAIRY, GREEN VEGES, FRUITS, WHOLE GRAINS ... &, IF YOU HAVEN'T GOTTEN OR PLANNED YOUR ENTIRE AMOUNT OF NECESSARY PROTEIN IN FOR THE DAY WITHIN YOUR ALLOWABLE CALORIES, YOU DON'T WANT TO BE EATING WHOLE GRAINS LIKE CEREAL OR BREADS. ALWAYS, PROTEIN FIRST! GOD BLESS YOU ... DAWN & NICK PS: I GOT MY MOMMA DOING A LITTLE PROTEIN TRICK. SHE LIKES MILK ON HER CEREAL AS SHE EATS IT, SO I HAVE HER PUT 1/2 - 1 SCOOP OF ANY WHEY UNFLAVORED PROTEIN POWDER IN HER MILK & SHE GETS ABOUT 10 - 20 GRAMS OF PROTEIN WITH HER CEREAL. A WAY TO "HAVE YOUR CAKE & EAT IT TOO" SO TO SPEAK.
