planning a visit
hi, I am planning a visit and looking for some input.
I have spoken to a few of you, and I know I have sounded a little lol, its just that I want to come there soooooo bad, and I was hesitant on traveling 4 weeks after my PS, however..... I was told by my dr that as long as I don't lift my suitcase or anything else heavy... I will be fine. (so I guess when I meet all the doggies I cant pick them up either .
i am still a little scared, but hey.... don't we need these adventures?!! But I am more thrilled/happy than any other emotion!!
I am looking at flights that will arrive on Wednesday, June 20th. This will allow me to arrive and get settled... and then attend the support group meeting on Thursday night. I am going to fly back on Monday morning June 25th, so I will have a full weekend too.
So, my questions are this... I know most people work mon-fri, so I was thinking that when get into town I would take a cab into "historic Charleston" (and please.... dont make fun of me... I am going by websites and literature.... is this how you refer to it, or do I sound funny???!!lol cause it sounds funny to me!!) And I saw this little inn listed online that I might book for Wed night called The Andrew Pickney Inn... here is their link http://www.res99.com/hotel/10005384-11279049O.html?ses=f376346856adf5c64e3b04245269d595853
23ht Is this a decent place/location? I thought it would be fun to go that first night, see downtown, have a drink, etc.
Again, I know that you are all at work during the week, so I need to keep occupied on thursday. according to various websites this place is in walking distance to a lot of great places.
Now, on Thurs night I want to attend the meeting. How far is it from downtown? Can you get a cab/bus to this meeting?
So, after this..... I am going to be at the mercy of some of your generosity..
You have no idea how excited I am. I need this. I feel that you are all my angels.
thanks,
Hi,
The Andrew Pickney Inn is perfect....right on the market in "historic Charleston", very nice and quaint, pretty safe too. The meeting is about 15 miles from downtown. You will have a blast, there is lots to do downtown. Shopping, dining, wonderful little bars. If you come, you will definitely want to move here. I love it and I am from Myrtle Beach originally, only 2 hours away. Charleston is just more laid back and the history is great. Hope this helps.

If you would like I live on James Island, about 10 minutes to downtown. I can pick you up for the meeting on Thursday and I have Friday's off, normally, I not sure about what is going to going on this far in advance. So if you need someone to show you around, I would be more than happy to do so. I love playing tourist in my own town. I will be your driver if you need it.
Let me know and can not wait to met you.
