What are your latest WOWS
I think we've all been really hard on ourselves and we have seriously come a LONG way. Plus, I absolutely adore lists, you guys inspire me daily. So here are my latest ones from the past 10 days.
1. I got out of the pool without using the stairs or ladder, I could just climb up
2. At the wedding, my DH was so Lovey Dovey, he looked happy introducing me to people as his wife, or maybe I just felt pretty and it showed
3. shaving my legs is MUCH easier
4. This is my favorite. it made me cry. my mom invited me to her retirement party and told me that she will be so proud to have me there. I know that she would have been proud before but I wouldn't have gone, i would have been way to ashamed of how I looked and felt. Mom teaches at Porter Gaud Prep School, which is a very very expensive private school where the really rich people in Charleston send their kids. I would have been ashamed that I would have embarrassed my mother. Most women there are a size 4 or 6
Obviously I still have mother issues. It felt really really nice to say unhesitantly that I would be there.
So please inspire me, what are your WOWS
Mary

What a good idea!! I have been so down lately, my scale has not moved in almost a month! I love this list stuff!
1. I went to a Kenny Chesney concert Friday night and got up and danced and had the best time I have EVER had at a concert!
2. I wore a size 10 jeans and a medium shirt to the concert!!! I was in a 24 and XXL shirt 7 months ago!!
3. I have to agree on the shaving your legs thing! Sooo much easier!!
4. I look forward to taking my kids to the park more than they do, I think!
5. I can wear a belt with my jeans, and I like it!!!
There, I feel better already!
I can't wait to see everyone else's answers!!

Although I am only 2 plus months out I have had wow moments.
1. I can bend over and pick up something in my floor board.
2. I can sit closer to the steering wheel and not have my tummy touch it.
3. I can climb stairs and walk without great exhaustion.
4. I can find clothes that fit.
5. Some people look at me like they know me but can't place me. Then when they find out it's me they are like WOW.
6. My extra chin is disappearing.
7. I can see parts of me i couldn't before.
8. I can clean my self better after using the potty..Embarrassing but true.
9. My kids hang with me more.
10. I can get out and play with Gabriel.
And so many more...I am truly blessed to have been able to have the surgery and have met all of you guys....

I sure needed this today too....
1) Being able to go into ANY store and shop for clothes!
2) Being able to fit into a size 14 jeans...AND have them loose in the behind!
3) Particpating in an hour long exercise class without feeling like I am dying!
4) Getting second looks from younger men! (my DH probably doesn't like this one!)
5) My mom and I being able to share clothes!
Thanks for the list idea...sometimes we all need a kick in the behind to remind us that the cup IS half FULL rather than half empty! Thanks Mary!

I like this Mary...here are mine.
1. I can keep up with the grandkids.
2. I enjoy going to movies/restaurants, etc. where I FIT into the seats with extra to spare.
3. I got rid of my husband...
...okay, had to add that one in...
4. I can exercise without feeling like I am going to die 2 minutes into it.
Lots more, but these are the ones that came to mine right away.

Mary Becker and Susann Butler and all the other wonderful women on this SC board have to be the biggest WOW moments I have had lately. I just don't know how i would be coping without all of you. I know I joke and laugh it up a lot on the board, but I have had some pretty 'blue' days and lonely nights...and if it werent for all of you, I would just be incredibly sad. You ALL give me strength.... so....WOW and thank you.

Ok, Mary......(my guardian angel)
But i am going to get there before August too.... because it is just too far off for me. I HAVE TO come in June just for my peace of mind. But I would love to come again if 'you'll have me' in August.
Maybe in June it could just be a 4/5 day visit. I dont even mind staying in motel 6....and not put anyone out!! lol. I just can not wait until August because I am crawling out of my skin here... ;)
I was checking flights and there are some that are @ 200 so.... the charge card could be used. gotta look into a rental car....
(I have a bit of a phobia of driving even in massachusetts....but I will pray for patience... EVEN IF I HAVE A limited faith these days.... lol) I have had a few car accidents over the years.... sooooooo.
"money doesnt buy happiness they say.... but...... I could sure use a chauffered limo and a new wardrobe for the trip...." lol Most of my clothes come from thrift shops, but hey... we have to stay 'humble' right????

Mary - good post! Hope you get some rest from last weekend.
1) I went to the gym tonight after being sidelined for 2 weeks and my trainer took my measurements. I have lost 10 inches in my waist alone since January! I lost 8 inches in my hips and 5 inches in my arms! I still have a ways to go but I'm getting there!
2) I don't panic about what will still fit me in my closet. I don't have many clothes right now but I take that as a good thing! I'm going down in size instead of up!
3) My car seems bigger now.
Just a few - I can't think of any more right now!

Mary:
You really make me think about the positive and leave my self imposed pity-party. Great post.
1. My husband found a hip bone.
2. Have to agree with everyone about the shaving.
3. Can give myself a pedicure without being a contortionist.
4. My 9 year old is measuring me by how far he can reach around me - started at fingertips and now he can reach his forearm (but he says I was never fat - just fluffy) Working toward the elbow
5. Learning to accept compliments with grace.
6. Finally believing that small victories are still VICTORIES.
