MOST OF YOU KNOW THAT I "HIT THE WALL" & STOPPED LOSING WEIGHT OVER 2 1/2 MONTHS AGO ... WELL, LAST MONDAY I STARTED A MODIFIED LIQUID (VERY HIGH) PROTEIN DIET USING ALMOST EXCLUSIVELY PACKAGED PROTEIN PRODUCTS. WELL, SOMETHING IS WORKING CUZ NOT ONLY HAVE I LOST ALL THE STALL WEIGHT, BUT I JUST DROPPED DOWN TODAY TO MY LOWEST WEIGHT EVER!!!

THE ONLY THING MY NUTRITIONIST WANTS ME TO DO IS TO ADD ABOUT 2 CUPS
OF VEGES A DAY TO MY HIGH PROTEIN DIET.

THANK YOU MS DEB ... I'M R-E-AL-L-Y PUTTING IN A MAJOR EFFORT ON THIS ... TOTAL FOCUS, SO I HOPE TO SEE REALLY GOOD RESULTS.
MY IDEA WAS JUST TO SHAKE UP MY DIET & SHOCK MY SYSTEM LIKE WE'RE TOLD TO DO BY PUTTING VARIETY INTO OUR EXERCISE PROGRAM WHEN WE STOP GETTING RESULTS.
I HAVE "THE PLATEAU BUSTER" DIET ON MY PROFILE IF YOU WANT TO READ ABOUT THAT ... I HAVEN'T HAD MUCH SUCCESS ON IT, BUT OTHERS HAVE.
I'M DOING A MODIFIED LIQUID (very, very HIGH) PROTEIN DIET ... LOW SUGARS & ABSOLUTELY NOOOOOOO WHITE CARBS ...
5 - 6 WATER/PROTEIN POWDER SHAKES DAILY ... I'M USING SYNTRAX NECTAR LATTES WHEY PROTEIN ISOLATE IN CAPPUCCINO FLAVOR = 8 OUNCES OF WATER PER SHAKE.
1 - 3 PROTEIN BARS DAILY ... I'M USING THE "POWER CRUNCH" BARS CUZ THEY ARE VERY LIGHT, NOT LIKE THE "OH YEAH!" BARS THAT I USUALLY EAT CUZ THEY ARE VERY HEAVY. THESE ARE THE BARS THAT MS DIANNE CALLS "EVIL" CUZ THEY ARE SOOOOOOOOO GOOD! I USE TRIPLE CHOCOLATE, PEANUT BUTTER & PEANUT BUTTER CREAM FLAVORS.
1 PROTEIN PUDDING DAILY ... I USE THE STALLONE BRAND IN CHOCOLATE FLAVOR.
AS MUCH SF CRYSTAL LITE AS I CAN DRINK TRYING TO BUILD UP TO BETWEEN 64 - 100 OUNCES A DAY.
MY NUTRITIONIST LOOKED OVER WHAT I WAS EATING HERE & SAID TO ADD 2 CUPS OF VEGES A DAY SO I GOT LIMA BEANS, GREEN BEANS, CORN, MUSHROOMS, ONIONS & SPICED STEWED TOMATOES & I'M MAKING A MEATLESS STEW (MAY ADD SOME SALMON OR SHRIMP) & I'LL TRY TO EAT 1/4 OF A CUP A COUPLE TIMES A DAY ... DON'T KNOW IF I CAN GET IN THE 2 CUPS OR NOT. I WILL START THAT TONIGHT.
I ALSO GOT QUALITY SALAD GREENS ... 50/50 SPINACH & SPRING MIX & THE ITALIAN MIX (NOOOOOOOOOOO ICEBEG LETTUCE) & I'LL ADD SALADS (GREENS ONLY) TO MY DIET WITH JUST A TINY BIT OF REGULAR SALAD DRESSING TO ADD TO THE VEGES THE NUTITIONIST WANTS ME TO EAT. I WILL START THIS TOMORROW.
WITH THE ADDITION OF VEGES, I'LL PROBABLY EAT ONLY 1 PROTEIN BAR A DAY.
I ALSO MAKE SURE I TAKE ALLLLLLL MY SUPPLEMENTS.
THAT'S IT ... IT'S BASED ON SOME SUGGESTIONS THE VITA LADY GAVE ME. VERY BASIC, NO FRILLS ... YOU DO PEE A LOT ON THIS DIET (WITHOUT THE VEGES). IF ANYONE HAS "HIT THE WALL" & WANTS TO GIVE THIS A GO, I'D START OUT JUST LIKE I DID ... SHOCK WITH JUST SHAKES, BARS & PUDDINGS FOR THE 1st 3 DAYS, THEN ADD THE VEGES & STAY ON IT FOR HOWEVER LONG YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH IT & SEE RESULTS. I'M SURPRISED THAT I'M NOT REAL HUNGRY BUT DO DRINK/EAT MORE TEENY SNACKS A DAY THAN I USED TO WHICH WAS 6 SNACKS UNDER NORMAL POUCH EATING.

... &, YOU CAN USUALLY FIND THAT ON WEIGHT/HEIGHT CHARTS. I THINK I FOUND MINE (126) SOMEWHERE ON THIS SITE, ACTUALLY.
"TARGET" WEIGHT IS LOSING 60 - 70% OF YOUR EXTRA WEIGHT OVER YOUR IDEAL WEIGHT = 280 SURGERY/HIGH WEIGHT - 126 (IDEAL WEIGHT) = 154 #s OVERWEIGHT x .70 = 107.80 I NEEDED TO LOSE TO BE CONSIDERED A GASTRIC BYPASS SUCESS, WHICH I HAVE DONE SINCE I'VE NOW LOST 112 #s TOTAL.
"GOAL" WEIGHT IS A REASONABLE WEIGHT GOAL FOR YOUR HEIGHT, AGE & MEDICAL CONDITION. DR BYRNE GAVE ME A GOAL WEIGHT OF 140. I'M 54 & AM 5' 2 1/2", NOW IN PRETTY DARNED GOOD HEALTH SINCE LOSING ALL THIS WEIGHT. SO, I HAVE 28 #s TO GO TO HIS GOAL. ASK YOUR SURGEON WHAT FIGURES HE FEELS WOULD BE RIGHT FOR YOU.
