My neice has run away

I have a neice like that too. Unfortunately the adults around her just can't see it. They all think she is being impossible. I just want to take her in and keep her . She is a good girl. She unfortuntaely is just acting out because the adults around her can't be ADULTS. She's only 16. I'm afraid I'll be hearing about her running away one day soon. It could be worse. I'm mostly afraid she might attempt suicide. She'll come around. Unless there is someone already out there keeping her safe, she will realize soon enough that the world is a hard place to survive in without help. I hope it happens sooner than later. Don't get me wrong - Maegan isn't an angel. But she is in desperate need of love and attention and, unfortunately, she is looking for it in all the wrong places with all the wrong people. I do have a little bit of good news. We found out that she contacted a friend yesterday and said that she was fine but that she was going to call her dad and tell him she wasn't going to come home until she turned 18 (July 29). That doesn't make much sense but at least I know she is still alive. Thanks, Kathy. I know that there are lots of kids out there like her but it breaks my heart. Susan

Thank you, Robin. I'm hoping that she will contact me soon. I have emailed some of her friends on myspace and I hope they will let her know I am looking for her. If I go to VA I'll call you. We'll have a regular posse going up there to round her up! lol. Susan
