The Other Day....
Kathy (i think) left us a post about motivating us to be our best for the next 30 days. I didn't reply to that because i didn't want to give up anything else!
BUT...I have somethings to improve on so for the next 30 days I will listen to the little voice that says "put the fork down and stop eating NOW!" I have not been listening to this voice and you can really tell by the scale since it has stopped moving.
Also since I have started to post what I eat everyday I do not get enough water and exercise. (great accountability!)
I'm sure the next 30 days will tell the tale! Thanks for having my back!!

You can do this Sundi!!! You are making the first step already so just continue to improve on your way of thinking and catch yourself when you realize you may be over-doing it. This is all still fairly new and takes some time to get it right. I'm sure once I have this feeding tube removed, I'm going to really need you all to help me figure out what to eat. I love Kathy's post on what did you eat today. It gives me ideas on what I can try to eat and what things to stay away from "trying" (usually the sweets and bread). I was told not to even taste sweets because if I dont dump, it'll open the flood gates to sugar hell all over again. Listen to that little voice, I always tell my children the first voice is GOD (put the fork down and stop eating NOW!) and the second one is the devil (but you only have 2 more bites, you can finish that, it wont hurt heck you had gastric bypass, you are going to loose weight regardless of what you eat).

Hey Robin! I had to laugh when you quote the devil saying "you only have 2 more bites, you can finish that!" I hear him loud and clear every single day!! I just can't stand to see food wasted. That helped me get fat in the first place. I would eat everyone's leftovers because I didn't want them to go to waste! I use my freezer a LOT now!

I HAVE A TENDENCY TO "LOOK BACK" AT ALL THE BAD IN MY PAST INSTEAD OF FORWARD TO MY GREAT FUTURE, & FOCUS ON BAD MORE THAN GOOD ... THESE ARE SOME OF THE MENTAL & EMOTIONAL THINGS I'M CHANGING.
DON'T THINK OF "WHAT YOU ARE GIVING UP", MS SUNDI. WHEN THOSE THOUGHTS CREEP IN, STOP YOURSELF & START THINKING OF WHAT YOU HAVE GAINED ... THE THINGS THAT REALLY MATTER. I'M ALWAYS AMAZED HOW HUMAN BEINGS (ME INCLUDED) CAN MOAN & GROAN ABOUT THE MOST UNIMPORTANT THINGS WHILE THEY LET THE REALLY IMPORTANT THINGS SLIP THROUGH THEIR FINGERS.

ISN'T ANY OF THIS WORTH CHOOSING A SF TREAT INSTEAD OF AN ARTERY-CLOGGING SUGAR/FAT-FILLED BLOB OF GOO? ISN'T IT WORTH A FEW MORE SALADS INSTEAD OF GREASY BURGERS & FRIES?
