Is Medicaid still covering gastric bypass?

I had laprascopic rny almost two years ago and Medicaid paid for it. I have a friend who is interested now so I was hoping someone out there knew if they would still cover it. Let me know please.

I don't have medicaid myself, but I did go to Dr Byrne's WLS seminar last night. He said right now they are, but they may be stopping it due to the cost. It isn't the WLS doctors denying..it is Medicaid. I would say if your friend wants to do it..they better consider it and get going while they still do. Teresa
