I had a long talk last night with my human resource professor about labor laws and practices in SC. He was the VP of human resources for different hospitals all over the country. I showed him some of the emails that I have received. He said that I have a case that my boss is creating a hostile work environment, not that I would do that, but I would love to scare her. He gave me tips on my response to my "coaching session"
Did you know that it is illegal and a violation of labor laws to add job duties without giving you 7 days written notice. This is punishable by a 1200 dollar fine to the company, half which is split with the complainer *****mains anonomous. You complain to the labor board
I learned lots of good tidbits about that that sort of thing. We will have to talk

Mary:
Too bad I didn't know that a week ago. They denied my unemployment, saying I quit without good cause. I would've had shopping money (for me and you) had I complained to the labor board. So now its time to get out the classifieds and start looking for another job!
Keep a log of everything (just in case you need to defend yourself)
Good Luck!

Actually, I do. I have to clock in and out everyday on my computer. Which is a whole 'nother can of worms that ticks me off. It won't give me credit for anytime I come in early unless I am at least 30 minutes early, but it will dock me for every minute I am late....
Hey
Just be careful plotting your revenge. In SC they do not have to have a reason to fire you. If you make them mad they can fire you for just that reason. There is a fancy little name for it and my mind is not working right now. A friend of my mom got fired after years with a large doctors office. Basically, they fired her because some of the docs didn't like her. She had no say so in it. She contacted an attorney friend of hers and he basically said she was screwed!

Yes,
We are a right to work state. I'm not planning really on revenge, it just makes me feel better to know how clueless my supervisor is. And I will ask her Monday for her figures to back up my errors. According to my figures, I have misrouted things .004% of the time, so I do feel better
So it truly my dreams of Revenge is Sweet because I am a wimp

Did not see this until today, the exception to the rule is if you are a State Employee. I know it is next to impossible to fire me, it can be done but the hoops they have to jump through are amazing. They have to have meetings to see what they can do to improve my work. Tell you a story, when I quit the College of Charleston, the person they got to replace me was AWLFUL! They tried for 3 months to get her fired. But the powers that be wanted to keep putting her on probation. They were finally about to get her to quit on her own terms after 6 mths of work.
Just something to think about. I hope the situation improves for you!
