best time to visit....?

WOW.... I am checking out flights and just thought I would see what the prices are, and saw some ridiculous pricing for 500 into Charleston. Having some kind of a day.... My insurance is not cooperating, my car is not either. I cried my entire lunch break. I don't know. I sometimes think life might have been easier pre-gbs..... or maybe I thought that when I got thin everything would just be easy??? and its just as hard? ok ok... that is the 'logical' answer and I know it... but I am just looking for a hug... lol So, when are the flights less expensive and the hotels? Is there a hotel that is downtown that anyone can suggest that is inexpensive and not too scary, yet within walking distance... i dont want to rent a car....if i can avoid it (the first visit anyway!) thanks!

Sounds like several of us have our days mixed up. Today feels more like a Monday to me!!! Things are not going too smoothly this week. I don't know about any of the hotels there, just wanted to give ya a big {{{{{hug}}}}}!!! Melissa

Don't know about the flights...never priced them...by go on a site like travelocity and see if they can help. I also don't know hotel rates but if you find some and let me know where they are I can give you an idea of if they are in a bad part of town or not. Big Hug to make you feel better.... Susann

hello my friend... hug back at ya! Travelocity is where I got the pricing to begin with.... lol when is the peak season for visiting? I got the worst news today about my plastics..... they wont cover ANY of it.... there is an exclusion at my job for it.... under ALL cir****tances.... even for MEDICAL... i dont understand this... I feel doomed. I am trying soooo hard to see the reasoning. the surgeons office is sending me a price quote and a company that finances.... I just have to breath..... I have to 'count my blessings.' right? I know it could be worse! right? but it is so hard when you are going through it....

I am sorry to hear about your insurance issues. I am concerned because there is an exclusion in my policy and I am not sure I will be able to get PS approved when the time comes. Maybe if you change jobs and get the right insurance company? As for the peak season, unfortunately we are just getting into it. US Air just started flying into Charleston, so go online to their site and see if they have any flights. Hang in there, it will work out for you! Susann

Thanks Susann, you are a sweetie... I was on airtran's site too and the good news is, they are adding Charleston SC as one of their stops..... but again..... I have to be ....... P - -A --T--I--E--N--T lol... I swear... I am being tested !! lol why is it that i have never been blessed with children and I have the patience that would really really warrent this. I know that I still have time for a child. biologically I know the clock is ticking fast... I can hear it sooo loud. and i know that .... jeeeesh!! anyway.... I'll get there sooooon, and I will get my plastics..... and it will all work out. I just wish I knew when/how. You will get there too. Maybe we will be helping each other out??!! hugs! (its so funny... people keep talking about SC - and I have had it in my brain for like 10 years, and I swear... its now in theirs, and I better get there before them!) lol
