I think you will find that is Summerville/Charleston Area. It is all that Southern Hospitality. What kind of work are you looking for? The local paper is the News and Courier. You can search their classifieds for jobs on line, they call it the Market Classifieds. Just google News and Courier, Charleston, SC. You would not be putting us out. I love to show people around downtown and the areas I know. I am a native, born and raised as was my Mother and Grandmother. You will have to get the Summerville Gals to show you around up there, I am getting more familiar with it, since my friend moved back up there. Julie...... I am going craaaaaaaaaaaaazy. (bluecross) 15 minutes... i keep calling the # i have just in case this lady shows up for work early...... haha.. anyway. my plan (but when do plans EVER come to be???) my plan is.... have this plastic surgery.... then heal...... then get a new vehicle.... my car is in serious trouble and needs to be replaced. then..... make a long wkend trip to charleston/summerville (and hopefully meet a group of folks from here!) and fall in love with the area!) so far that is as far ahead as i can think. now if that goes in the order i am hoping i will be so happy...... but doesnt someone above..... a power greater than us.... always intervene with his/her own plans?????? lol

WOW, I don't really know what to say, its a personal thing. Well, depending on what you do. I am a planner, and I like my security. I personally would go anywhere, not just Charleston and get a good job first, a permanent job, and then move. Its easier for me that way. Blackbaud is a good company, and sometimes a company will pay for some relo if they really need your job type. The steel corp, can't think of the name right now, someone on here will know, and some Norco?? can't think right now. There are also tons of hospital jobs, MUSC, Trident, etc...and dental offices since the medical school is there. Accounting, lots of tech jobs moving into Charleston. I am a professional mover, 20 years of hubby in the Air Force, we moved a ton of times, and thought we were going to stay in Charleston, our hometown is only 3 hrs from there in GA. But, he was hired by Boeing and we had to move to California, and the housing here is unreal. Our landlord wants a bloody fortune for our house, as most houses are near $1 million bucks. SO, we are going to keep renting for a year I think.....too risky to buy right now, even in Charleston I think. Rates are going to go up more, and prices are not realistic at this point. Too many people think they have to have a huge profit like they were getting a year or so ago, but no longer. Good Luck!!! I recommend renting if you don't already own, and if you own....this is for others.....refi if you are not on a fixed rate, and get on a fixed rate, NOW!!!! You will regret it when the ARMs go up 4 more points, it makes it tough for lots of people to afford their homes. Deb

Thanks, Deb. Nope... I don't own... I don't have much of anything really.... lol. (nice to post on a public message board huh..... haha) oh well. I have shared my personal info with a couple of folks on here so its ok. I rent where I am now, but Its not even a lease, so that is good. I have been at the same job for a long time... I have a pretty good resume, but its in an office, mgmt/but still office work. I have some skills, but would need some honing on the resume. I dont make enough to buy a condo though even on my own. So renting is what I would do. I could prob only afford to rent a small 1 bedroom.. been looking at north charleston/summerville and maybe if I found something and was lucky I could go into something a little bigger. I would LOVE my own washer/dryer... I owned a home years ago with my ex, but he got the place. He could afford it on his own, and I couldnt swing the mortgage on my own... so he kept it. Its a long story... but we stayed together for a while after that.... and now its 0. and I have to leave this area, because if I see him, I am afraid I will just curl up and die.... lol. anyway.... I want to move, end of story. I am waiting on plastics... and hope to have them done soon. soooooon. hugs and thank you sooooo much for your input. understand!!! So, where are you having your plastics done and is insurance covering it?? No offense to anyone, but there are not much choices in Charleston for plastics, that's for sure. I had my plastics in Mexico, yes, Mexico.......long story, but I am VERY happy with my results and would only go to this clinic and my doc. They are the #1 plastics docs in Mexico. I paid $5400 for my Lower Body Lift, and I will pay $3900 for my breast lift and augmentation which will include some upper ab lipo and perhaps some skin removal and that will be made in the breast incision scar...he is amazing, rather than slicing me down the middle. I also have to have a thigh lift done, and arm lift, but I am waiting. I hope to do my boobs this summer some time, and then my thighs sometime next year...well, after the summer, I say a year based on school years. You can also find reasonable rentals in Mt Pleasant, no kidding!!

Hi.... well..... I am fighting with bc regarding some breast work... but it is for medical reasons not for cosmetic. its kind of a long story... but because of the dramatic weight loss and because i am so petite.... it has caused my muscles to start pulling on my rib cage and the pressure has caused intense pain and pulling.. this has been going on since last fall. its a lot more than that... but that is the gist of it. and i have so much skin. i was very large before.. and now i'm in a size 2-4... but still wearing a D cup. so its very uncomfortable wearing a bra. i'm in agony most of the time. bc/bs doesnt want to cover the insurance.... but they have to.... i am now in appeals. i have missed work, etc. so i cant leave my job until this is done. hugs! and thanks for asking and again for all your help and info. ps. i also have a broken heart, but i dont think plastics will help that????? lol (and i have a sense of humor that is great in my opinion) xo
