Lets set the story straight!!!

OMG How immature. I received a phone call this afternoon that was so ridiculous and childish, and I am almost ashamed of myself for responding to it. But here goes. To begin with, Ms T & Ms T. you two obviously have personal problems that you need to work out among yourselves. Please do so and unless you have something positive and honest to say using my name, I suggest you leave it out of your mouths. To say I gave information on this group and the other BS that was said is crazy, and I don't appreciate being someone's scape goat for drama. This is what I do know.... 1. From what I have read in the posts, this group was founded by two women having surgery or planning to do so and meeting for a drink to talk. Gradually others interested in the surgery began to show up. Out of the goodness of their hearts, they opened up their conversation and time to all whom they could help. 2. This group has nothing to do with MUSC. Dr. Byrne is happy that we all support one another and wish us the best in our success. 3. To my knoledge, the only thing mandatory is that we attend his seminar that he holds with 20-25 interested people, the appointments with the nutritionist and psych doctors and the nurse/nutrition class. All of this is through MUSC. 4. MUSC does not officially support our LCBB support group. We all found it on line or was told by someone about it. Dr. Byrne saved my life and the lives of some wonderful friends I have made through this support group. The last thing I will tolerate is the dissrespect of my doctor, my friends and myself. If someone feels the need to spy and report on what I eat or do not eat, and where I go and what meetings I attend, let them. They have one dull life if I am the most exciting thing you have to report on. Those that know me...know me!!! I will help anyone I can. I am a giver not a taker. I could say that all I have done is try to help someone and now look what I got - stabbed in the back; so I won't help anyone again. But that's not who I am. And I refuse to let someone try to change the core essence of me. I don't deal well with drama. I am an adult, not a teenager. If I want drama, I will focus on the life experiences of having two teenage boys. We all attend this group for support, not drama. If you want drama you can watch Jerry Springer, but don't include me or bring it to the group. As far as I am concerned, this is over. I, for one, will take the high road. Deb

Susan is doing good. Now if only I could get her to lay down and rest. lol I am sorry for all of this mess and hate that somehow my name got caught up in it. Hopefully these two young ladies will find a way to mend their differences. We always tend to hurt the ones we love the most, and I am afraid that is what happened here with them. Deb

Well said Deb. I was one of the original ladies who started this group and we have grown by leaps and bounds because we are all willing to help each other through what is a very difficult experience. The people in our group are very loving and caring and most of them would do anything for you. We WILL NOT tolerate drama, gossip or just plain meanness. We are here to help each other and I for one have made some wonderful friends. I truly don't know what I would have done without you guys over the past year and one-half. I love you all! Susann

Am I really reading all of this??? WHO the heck is the NUT here?? I DON'T want to know. I think we all know each other well enough, even from Waaaaay the heck from California, across the whole USA, that this person is dumber than dirt. Dr Byrne does not care, no meeting is mandatory and they may have this confused with some program if they are trying to get approved from insurance, they require people to go somewhere, but the LCBB is just a bunch of friends and their spouses who have or NOT had surgery. You don't even have to have surgery to go..... Really, how crazy is it back in Charleston now?? LOL Thanks for the soap opera drama, sorry you guys are living through it. Can I use this if I decide to make a movie about it?? haha Love you, and please, just drop it, that's the best thing to do, no need to fuel the fire!!! Deb
